Alternative Racing Line and a Blind Driver at Forrestburn Hillclimb Track Day

Forrestburn Hillclimb track day 2nd June 2024
Took the 1970 Jeffrey Mk3b, 750cc Reliant powered, sports racing car.
Just fitted a Reliant Robin (4 synchro) gearbox in place of the original Reliant Regal (3 synchro) unit. The Robin box has slightly longer gear ratios which should help to carry more speed through some of the corners.
We got plenty of runs in and I was trying of few different lines.
Unfortunately I may have been trying a bit too hard and nearly hit the bank on the exit of the last corner. No damage but picked up some grass cuttings (ironically I cut that piece of grass yesterday during the track prep work party). The MINI travelling slowly was being driven by a blind driver - the MINI was fitted with "HE-MAN" dual controls - including two steering wheels.

The hillclimb track has been used in a couple of films including a remake of "The 39 Steps" and Timothy Spall's "The Last Bus"

That was exciting, I didn't think muscle memory applied to strimmers! The Mini doesn't have a mulching attachment though.

Hi Niall, luckily the Jeffrey is flat floored from front to back and it does not collect grass underneath.

Hoping to take my Ami to Bo'ness for 30th Aug, then the farm and impreza for the 31st Aug and 1st September Anniversary Hillclimb. Still looking for safe sets of hand for either or both cars. Hi William, I was also thinking of bringing my Ami to Bo'ness to display at the EV event on the 31st.
