Interesting to see inside a Climax. Number 3 exhaust valve also shows signs of a little "steam cleaning" and you can see the opening of a channel formed through the gasket towards jacket at 12:07

really? are you new? get a bigger better battery, all that pretty car ain't worth the dust it's made out of without a serious power source, it's really the engine, the electric motor is just the transmission to the ground of the batteries power. so spend your money on the battery or save and carry extra batteries. electricity is the gas battery is the motor electric motor is the transmission

Hi Niall, 3rd gear seems just right for the run up to the top of East Brae, 2nd gear is a bit too high a ratio for the esses. I think the Reliant Robin 4 synchro box would give me more speed through the esses.

@@DougsShed Hello Doug is that really a Jeffery J4 , there cant be many of them left and running in the UK ?
@DougsShed13 күн бұрын
@@budbud2509 Hi, this is the earlier Jeffrey Mk3b which was for 750MC racing. The J4 was a road going version. The J4 was very similar to the Mk3 except it had rear suspension arms coming from the rear of the chassis to the live axle, it also had fibreglass bodywork. The J4 was reincarnated as the F27 kit car.
@budbud250913 күн бұрын
@@DougsShed Thanks for your reply Doug Yes I had a J4 as well !! ( it came to a sticky end in the midlands ice ) And something 'I'm not so proud of is I actually worked for Jeffery and did the Bonnet and Dashboard cover that housed the windscreen I also seem to remember that a front wing model was started and I took that over made the models for both rear wings and the other side. front wing , the nose cone was made by Jeffery himself . The fibreglass was done by a Bob Telford who went on to buy Mini Jem. Last time I saw Bob was on TV a documentary about the DeLorean project and there he was sitting in a meeting at Lotus !! I was only there for a few months ( 3 ? ) and it was very early in my career as a Pattern Maker. Yes I do remember the 3B , the chassis were built by a couple of RAF technicians from Brize Norton who seemed to do a week on and a week off. That was a few years back !!

@DougsShedАй бұрын
I would not recommend 'coasting' down hills in neutral. The electric motor is always being turned by the wheels and you could over rev the motor. At 40 mph the electric motor would be turning at almost 10000 rpm.
