Awesome vid! It's nice to see what Americans think of our parks :-) it's funny, I've always loved Alton Towers but your video made me really appreciate how awesomely themed the whole park is, from the queue lines to the music to each coaster having its own particular storyline etc... Much better than the majority of Six Flags with their 'parking lot coasters'! Mind you, sometimes I think I would probably swap a bit of theming in return for getting the size/length of some of your coasters!! But that's why I go out to Magic Mountain every couple of years for a ' top-up'!

sub terror i can tell you was AMAZING! i dont get scared on coasters but sub terror... i came off a little shakey!. little scary haha whats better is you cant see anything appart from the egg! the sub terror is still closed to this day and its rumored to be re furbished and rumored to be scrapped all together. they wont say officially whats happening with it. great vlog! its my all time fave park. and the smiler is an epic ride. its stole my top spot from oblivion haha. good to see amerians come over to visit! The wicker man (SW8) is also so so amazing! best theming and ride experience ive ever seen. not to mention the pre show! the roller coaster restaurant also has a small scale model of the wickerman on the wall above the entrance .

Glad you enjoyed the park. Couple of things you mentioned you didn't know or were not 100% accurate. The smiler is an infinity coaster, not a euro-fighter. Spinball whizzer is not a wild mouse of any sort it's a Maurer sohne spinning coaster. SW8 is confirmed to be a GCI wooden coaster. The plans as you mensioned are available for public viewing but don't show everything. We had something similar for the smiler but the plans didn't show all 14 inversions to hide the record. p.s. you wouldn't have had much of a risk riding the rapids. The worst you get is a couple of wet patches on trousers and maybe squirted with water by people offride. It's not a soaker. Hope you enjoyed every one of the parks you visited over here!

Love the video as I do all your content and think it's great you enjoyed your visit to the uk and especially alton towers. I don't live too far from the park and although as you mentioned there have been cut backs since last year I'm sure in the future alton towers will keep improving and get the revenue it deserves. Keep up the amazing and look forward to seeing more of your content

Great review :) edit: next time you come, try find the tree in chains! It exists somewhere but in an attempt to keep it relatively preserved it's not well publicised

I love how they did the track for Nemesis :) At first I thought it was rusted because it was built in 1994, but it was meant to have that rusty feel to match the great theme :) And Th13teen is also awesome with its theming, which makes the ride

I went on the smiler about 2 weeks before the crash and it was the first roller coaster that I had ever been on and once i came of I dint regret a thing and like you guys said it doesn't feel like 14 loops

Btw you can just say to the workers on the smiler can we go at the front on the smiler and they will just say “ok wait her for the next train”

The smiler is so much more creepy in person. I live in the UKso I have been blessed to be able to go here when ever I want but every time I que for this ride it gets to me and I always end up crying all the way around the ride 😂

I absolutely love Alton Towers, but it's also so frustrating to see it living in a shadow of its former self 😭

Th13teen probably has the best theming at this park, although Galactica has some pretty good theming, Nemesis has awesome theming too, but Th13teen takes the cake for this park in terms of their coasters that have theming. Intamin did a great job with it :)

I have been to Alton Towers several times over 40 years. I now have to use a wheelchair and public relations could not do more to help people who are disabled, a free quick pass.

The Smiler is actually one of the few Infinity Coasters by Gerstlauer. I thought it was a Euro-fighter, but apparently it's called an Infinity Coaster.

The charlie and the Chocolate factory was closed because the IP ended. Hex is under refurbishment along with some of the other rides. Sub terra was unpopular so they closed it, of course, the flume was closed ready for the new coaster.

I prefer blackpool pleasure beach by far to Alton towers. But Alton towers is second. The only fantastic ride is Nemisis. The Smiler and oblivion are good but not fantastic. Will you be doing a BPB tour next year.

I'm going back to Alton Towers in October. That will be the third time. But, the bad thing is that I developed a very bad fear of ghost, all thing creepy and stuff and if I see stuff like that I have a small panic attack with is not fun but I really want to go on thi3teen as now I am tall enough but to walk there you have to go through a creepy pathway where it has fake tombstones soooo yeah whatever I'm going to try and not have a panic attack....
