Sure, you could make large muffin tins work for you. I've used them before, for all sorts of pies, sweet and savory. Give it a try and let me know how it turns out.

Is 50 minutes a little long for bake time ? Seems like the filling would dry out

Hello my friend. When it comes to baking, the timing is a bit of a moving target. Some ovens bake a little hot, some a little cold. The temperature of your ingredients when they go in the oven can affect bake time, as can other variables. That said, if less time works best for you, then that's fine. Ken

Hi Ken. I can't believe you actually replied. Do you have recommendation for frozen pie crust? I wanted to make chicken pot pie by the bulk of, say 100, pot pie top shell and bottom shell. For instance, what brand do you reccomend? If I use 53/4 disposable pan, what size of pie shell do I use? @@kenhaedrichthepieacademy

Actually, Robin, I have used large muffin tins for pot pies and it works like a charm. But I prefer the individual pans because it's convenient for the pie to have it's own portable container.
