In this one I compare the tactile switches I've used so far. Giving my scores out of 30 and general thoughts.

Thanks for the concise review, this definitely helped me decide my next switch^^ I accidentally overlubed my zealios and now I hate them. ;0; I was going to order some more, but thought.. why not try something new~ I think I'll try the boba's next!

Good choice! They are strong! Probably don’t need lubing though, I forget if mention it in the video

I've had really good luck with lubed Glorious pandas in 2023, lube job is excellent on the ones I have taken apart. Out of a full pack I've only found a couple of I needed to modify. It's become my go to switch at this point... I just wish they were a little cheaper.

Yeah I still like them, I just haven’t used mine in a while now! Need to get out of my linear addiction!

I recently bought the Akko Purple Lavender switch it’s shocking good for its price I bought 90 piece switch for just 20 dollars. The switch has a sharp tactile feel and no stem wobble and I don’t really recommend lubing it if u want the sharp tactile feel.

Nice, I ordered some Akko Sponges the other day, I suspect they are similar and sooo cheap you’re right
@kaeroseon2 жыл бұрын
@@tom_types sponges should be quite different to the older akko switches due to different manufacturers and design, but my sponges, lavenders and ocean blues haven’t arrived yet so I’m not completely sure yet
@tom_types2 жыл бұрын
@@kaeroseon The sponges are really unique, they have a tactile bump on the way down AND on the upstroke! They feel real cool

I got myself a couple Akko purples as well and like them over the Glorious Pandas I've used before. Both the sound and feel of the purples is really nice. I lubed mine which improved the sound a little and didn't impact the tactility (in a way I would notice).

@@twinklingwater same i lube my akko lavender, maybe he lube the legs and bcs of that he can say that he prefers the stock

I have tried modern prelubed tactiles, went straight back to lubed and filmed mx brown just because how robust it felt.
@tom_types10 ай бұрын
Nothing wrong with that sir! Browns are the backbone of every beginners board!

Completely unrelated, but have you tried box black ink v2s? I heard they're a tighter version of the original v2s.

I was thinking about them when I saw Thermingoat’s review… may buy them in the future… got a massive queue of switches right now tho!

Can you do this again with all the tactile switches you have right now? Cuz im contemplating to buy either tecsee purple panda or is the holy panda & bobaU4T worth the money
@tom_types Жыл бұрын
I am certainly considering a bigger video like this, up-to-date with my new opinions! I can't make any promises though! The Holy Pandas are certainly worth the money, after all the ones I've tried, they are still one of my favourite tactiles.

I wonder how you'd score your zykos and where they stand in the bump and pitch spectrum. Btw, you voice sounds a bit hoarse in the video, maybe I'm hearing things. Hope you're doing well!

I decided to not include frankenswitches… maybe I’ll give it a score separately! Lol! I do have a bit of a cold and it was getting late, good ears

Question, boba u4t are hard to type on? I am worried if would have finger fatigue I usually use gateron oil kings but I want that thocky sound, they don’t have boba’s u4t actuation force on the specs 😢
@tom_types2 ай бұрын
They are certainly feel heavier than most, but I think the Oil Kings are fairly heavy (80g bottom out), so if you bottom out the Oil Kings you’d be totally fine with the Bobas

Hi, can you recommend good sound tactile switch in 2023?
@tom_types7 ай бұрын
I recently put the Glorious Pandas in my new Bauer Lite - so they still slap. My favourite high pitched sharp sounding tactiles will still be the Everglide Dark Jades - if budget is a thing look at the Neapolitan Ice Creams as they are very good value and similar sounding to other Pandas etc
@yanhuan17 ай бұрын
@@tom_types Thanks for replying. What's the difference between glorious and invyr panda? Do they sound almost same once lubing? My budget is around $1 per switch. I'll check detail of the Neapolitan first.
@tom_types7 ай бұрын
They are almost identical, the Invyr are marginally better in my opinion but there’s not much in it…. Sound the same.
@vincentwen9289 Жыл бұрын
Why isn't boba u4t your cup of tea? People usually see it as a panda killer.
@tom_types Жыл бұрын
Honestly, they are so tactile and so deep sounding, for me it doesn’t have enough character like the Pandas or Neapolitans of something like that! Just my preference

should have also add sound comparison, coz different people have different taste, should have let audience listen with their own ears
@tom_types2 жыл бұрын
This is true, I think I might so separate videos for that sort of thing - I usually do these bigger comparisons because it's the most often thing I'm asked about! Sound comparisons would be good though

Sorry, the video was just way too loud. Instead of having your input volume at 1% you need to turn it down to 0%. Some people have sensitive hearing and can actually hear your video. I'm assuming you didn't intend on anybody being able to hear this video so I was just letting you know that I could actually hear it, barely, at full volume, but it was there
