Excellent video. I can't imagine how many millions of dollars worth of tractors the Wathens must own. I might have to make the drive down from West Lafayette for their next open house day, as much fun as it looks. They could turn this farm into a museum and make a full-time living from just that if they wanted to.

BTP Viewers: some time ago BTP posted a video of the Ford/Versatile 876 working in the field on this farm in Evansville. A very well done clip of this great tractor-the clip should be in the archive.

There is a big Ford Steiger being used on a family farm in Jackson County Alabama. The farm is located on AL Hwy 117 just before the Tennessee state line in Stevenson, AL. It is owned by the Loyd brothers. They bought the tractor new and have used it every since it came off the lot. You need to make a trip down here and interview the brothers. These guys put in thousands of acres every year with these older machines. He has some Deere’s with 30,000+ hours on them. You can contact me at jkrmedic@yahoo.com if you need further info.

It is a 765. That was one of the clips I did not include in the tour. It is a neat sprayer. I have filmed it working. I need to make a video on it to share.

They are all different weights. For example the Steiger Panther III is 26,900 lbs, the Puma 1000 is 17,000 lbs, the Golden Demo Case IH Steiger 535 is 42,639 lbs, the Farmall M is 4,858 lbs and the Big Bud 525/50 is 52,000 lbs.
