Does anyone else remember having your sandwiches wrapped in wax paper?? That was before ziploc bags. My Mom was so good at getting the sandwich wrapped so it didn’t fall apart. 😂

Oh yes, when we went on school field trips and the school provided a brown paper bag lunch the sandwich would be wrapped in wax paper. We are talking late 70's to mid 80's. Gosh I feel old typing this..:)

Add crayon shavings with the leaves. When you iron, the melted crayons look pretty mixed with the leaves.

We did that, too. Also put a drinking straw along the top edge before ironing so we could run a string through the straw and hang up the "artwork".

Our Amish store sells "Lucky Charms" marshmallows in a bag ... No cereal, just marshmallowy goodness!!! I'm 65...we always pressed leaves in wax paper. My sister still has some from her childhood, 60 years later.

I truly believe variety is the spice of life so when you can get the variety out of the dumpster for free but it in your car take it home you don't have to stand in a line you don't have to pull out your wallet or purse you don't have to pay no money but you do get to keep it definitely makes the variety of a whole lot better I just love my freakin Frugal family

When I was in eighth grade, for our we collected leaves and made a note book with the leaves ironed in wax paper and wrote what kind of leaf it is, and where we found it. I loved doing projects for garden class.🌿☘🍃🍂🍁🍀🌳🌲🌱

Wax leaf collecting is a lost art project. You should video that for those who forgot or never experienced it. I eat my lucky charms the same way. I just don’t count the charms. I save them for last and eat them one by one. I don’t often eat cold cereal. To9 much sugar.

Hello google family And 72 years old And when I was a child we collected leaves in the fall and Preston between wax paper and if we didn't have wax paper but then bread was wrapped in a paper that had wax on it and we would use that just to hang on the wall for the winterTo add color And it was beautiful An adventure it couldWell anyways I'm going to let you go cause I love Watching you guys every time I can get you up on my tablet even the oldies I watch

Hard Shell, soft inside then build taco fold down soft shell and munch and crunch yummy

You can also use wax paper and broken crayons to make pretty snowflakes. Put broken crayons between a layer of wax paper, using an iron run it over the wax paper and crayons to melt the crayons, when cooled a bit cut out some kind of shape in the paper and make snowflakes, I have done this with my grandkids when they were younger,

I live in New Mexico, not far from El Paso Texas. If it's on a flour tortilla, it's a burrito, no matter how you fold it. A corn tortilla makes a taco. Hispanic people are pretty adamant about that. Soft taco on a flour tortilla is just too Gringo and I'm Caucasian myself.

Hahaha, the Marshmallows & Stars remind me of when our daughter was little and just learning to read and count, she called them "Marshmallow 3 Stars" because the & sign looked like a three (only backwards) to her. We called them that for years.

Great dive! I did the leaf and wax paper craft as a kid, then with both our children, then my grandson. Also with kids I've babysat through the years. It's a must do craft for everyone. Always lots of fun collecting the leaves and designing your leaf craft! Think I'll do it again with my grandson.

I don't know what was going on with the Aldi's I go to, but they were throwing away a lot of 24 packs of the Kraft sliced cheese. I only got 1 because that is all I'm able to use. I got begal skinnies & am making grilled cheese bout of them.

If you're looking for inexpensive activities you should try Borax crystals. You can dip anything, all you need is borax, boiling water, a vessel you won't use for cooking or eating & literally anything to dip. You can twist up pipe cleaners, sticks, foil balls, last year my son & got skulls & skeleton hands from the dollar tree & dipped those for fun Halloween decoration. It's under $10 & you can add food coloring to color your crystals
