Alacard0malley there’s bastards on Amazon and eBay reselling 25lb dumbbells for over $200 dollars. Just buy a 5 gallon water jug for curls and shoulder/bench press and fill a backpack with books to do pull-ups and pushups.

What an inspiration! I was thinking of using my lock-down at my home for a cause! I have old scooter tires, a half bag of cement, half tractor of sand and stones! Another option is to manually spread the cement inside the tire first. As the cement layer increases, continue to manually spread the cement inside the tire. Plus, use a hand sander (sand paper hand machine) along the tire sides to evenly distribute the cement.

the best way were with the tires spinning during the process. it would project the cencrete evenly due to centrifugal forces. im sure it can be made. but even more important is do it on a scale to make sure the both have the same kg

Tip for anyone who is going to make weights in this manner. 1. Get 17 inch used front motorcycle tyres, they are close to standard plate diameter. 2. Weight all the dry ingredients to your desired weight for each tyre individually. This will give you close to desired weight, once the plates have cured completely. 3. Do the finishing work within the first 24 hours, new cement will stick better, don't forget to deeply scratch the surface before applying finishing coat. 4. Wash the weights after another 24 hours of curing for cleaner lookin weights. Cement will come of easily at this moment. 5. Let the plates soak in the water if possible for a week for super strong curing. Or cover the plates in wet rags and then cover with plastic sheet for slow evaporation. This should give you strong long lasting plates which you could chuck around and throw as you like without worrying.
