i am so sad, that this is another cool video thats being downgraded by the lack of audio quality. i cant believe that there isn't a way to turn off the vents or use a better lavalier microphone. your content could be so much better just with that single change. please, its the third time i am commenting because of that single issue, other are noticing that as well.

Once again a video whose audio would be immeasurably improved if you would ask the chef to turn off the ventilation just for the duration of said video. The quality of the food produced as well as the concept of these videos is not in line with the quality of the sound. It’s distracting to have to listen to the chef’s explanations over the noise coming from the range hood/extraction fan, especially considering that English is rarely their first language. Please consider your viewers aural pleasure. Peas and Lovage from New Zealand.

It looks like the chef in question chose to demonstrate the dish during operating hours and the ventilation not only services him but all the other cooks preparing dishes that aren't being filmed. To spare your delicate ears, maybe the producers could have ask the chef to do a display cook version of the dish outside operating hours in a setting that would enhance your visual as well as aural experience, away from the everyday kitchen workplace conditions that offend your sensibilities, like a flower garden or library or whatever? I mean, aside from the oven where the chef finished off the langoustine tail, the mise en place would be the same, and the only issue would be the portable induction stove not having as much output as the proper one in that aurally objectionable kitchen.

I have commented on that issue a few times here before. I also love their content, but i cant imagine, that there isnt a better way to record it. Turning them off is a simple way to do so. Using more directed microphones another, the combination of both would be best, you can also do a lot with noise reduction processing in the daw afterwards. Anyways, we agree on the issue that the audio needs to be better.
