I've had the 2023 385fl for just over 2 months now and me and my wife absolutely love it. Full-time live in it. First time out for Houston TX to great falls Montana 1800 miles. My 17 king ranch f350 6.7 dually pulls it with ease. Instead of getting a 5th wheel receiver hitch I put a genY gooseneck hitch. Similar in price but I get to use the bed without a big hitch taking space. 👍💯 Alliance paradigm 385fl

This is a really nice unit! And Josh the RV nerd recently did a factory tour that showed that they really take pride in the construction of these. That being said, I don't know about 100 grand. Especially in my state where that would require another 9K in sales tax and a $1500/yr tag. Rich people territory. Thanks for the video!

Alliance is stepping up the game when it comes to the all important quality of frame and wall construction. Great to see the additional boxed frame support being added above the axle area and use of same size drop frame and the main frame I-beams. Also, use of Azdel materials in sidewalls. Keystone and other competitors could learn a few things from Alliance when it comes to what really matters and down the road ownership experience / longevity of an RV.

Alliance does a good job of “almost” making the mark, but just doesn’t quite reach. They are still leaving the control panel exposed in places that are certain to be bumped by shoulders or curious children. They still waste bedroom clothing storage space with that bench, and then create a bathroom fit for a Class A motorhome by having 2 huge closets. Lastly, the waste discharge hose access is under the slide! I never did see the valve location. You mentioned the Beacon, why dont you do a comparison of this trailer and the Grand Design 380-FLR? That trailer is same floor plan,weight and price class. Oh, and take note of the attention to details as well as the major differences. Go ahead! It will be fun! 😅

Inside is a 4☆ for me. Has all the things I'd want & need for full timing it.

This is an amazing looking 5th wheel.

Before I went full time I remodeled the house and sold it - part of the remodel was epoxy counters everywhere - people went nuts when viewing the home, loved them - I am going to pour all my counters in my GD 2670MK in the near future

Norcool refrigerator is "super cool." No pun intended?

I love how Alliance installs a single-basin sink. You can't wash large pans in a dual-basin sink, and you need large pans to cook for as many people as these trailers fit. It's also nice the the sink is offset on the island, but the stove is centered to give space for ingredients on both sides

This is a very well thought out unit. Price is just to steep. For that kind of money it should have independent suspension and disk brakes.

That’s a hoss of an RV. Alliance builds a good RV also, as we love our Avenue 32RLS.

Just some constructive feedback. I would appreciate when you are doing the exterior walk around to point out where and how many black/grey tank sewer pipes an RV has. I know if I’m comparing similar RV’s, if one model has all tanks plumbed to a single outlet that would get more points than if I had to move or make more sewer connections. Also, do I need to crawl under the slide to get to the connection? Thanks

Very nice rig. Set up nice for couple or small family. Not a big fan of steps in both ends, but that's my opinion. At what point / weight do mfg. install a 3rd axle? This unit is big enough it would be a consideration. Really like the aft storage, could easily overload if you weren't careful how you load it. Great review, keep up great work J.D.. The front living room floorplans are my favorite, but for Alliance, I was surprised to see they didn’t put in light cabinets, or a light covered couches as Alliance typically does, at least what I’ve seen of there rigs. I don’t understand why they would ever put a vent directly under the feet where someone would sit in a theater seat. That would suck to sit there, unless of course you’re feet are always cold in the winter. Overall, I really like the unit and, don’t find the price overly offensive based on prices these days, althoughI expect we’ll see prices decrease now that covid is over, or should I say will be suddenly over in May 11. That and with rising interest rates. I would likely buy this unit rather than paying $40k+ more on a similar floorplan Grand Design Solitaire.

My wife and I really like this floorplan and are considering an upgrade from our Class C, which would require a truck purchase. Would you say this rig's length and weights would require a 1-ton DRW (e.g., F-350 DRW) truck, or could a 1-ton SRW (e.g., F-350 SRW) get this done? I'm betting there's a what you "can" do and what you "should" do answer coming, but I'd love to tap your expertise specific to towing this model. Thanks so much!

It's nice, but a pretty standard floorplan. I won't say anything negative, and recommend no one else does either. The Alliance Ally Mafia will find you.

It would be sweet to swap the bedroom and bathroom and make the half bath a laundry/ pantry. It's nice to see the manufacturers doing away with the dual bathroom sinks. Never thought putting a sink next to the toilet was a good idea.
