Coach, do you have a video on how to waterproof a commercial steam room? Like continuous use? I was at a spa over the weekend with the wife and they had this steam room in the men's locker room that was completely ridiculous. It had one of those automatic steamer heads on the wall that you can adjust from outside the room. On Max it was so ridiculously steamy You literally couldn't see your hand in front of your face and it was probably approaching over 190° in that room. Like my lungs were burning. Somebody could leave the steam room and it could be running like that for hours. It did not seem that they ever turned it off but yet the tile was in perfect shape and there was no mold or anything. How do they accomplish this? I'm hoping to deploy this sorcery in my new steam shower in our master and never have to deal with any pan leaks again besides! Just curious! Great content, thanks for everything you do!

I mean with that kind of heat, you're definitely not getting mold. The mold develops while it's not hot in there and water sits lol

@@agenericyoutubehandle Fair enough. I mainly am wondering how they would waterproof such a room. I mean if it's intermittent use then it makes sense you could just have a ridiculous exhaust fan, finish your shower, and then have that thing on all day drying out everything. But with just continuous super hot steam exposure and saturated air pretty much 24/7 how do they waterproof that? We have to redo our master bath in I don't see why I couldn't deploy those methods in my house

I"m likin that! blue was probabkly my favorite. I like the little 2" curb too. that helps to avoid a lot of work in making a true curbless. I want to do one like that!

While it's not finished, I am doing LED in my bathroom too. Sadly, it's been a prolonged project. I started it in 2020... when i subscribed to your channel for hints and tips on doing a walk in shower. THANK YOU for all the free education you provide!!! Once completed, I will reach out and share my results. I am more of an artist who needed to learn tile, as to a tile installer needing to learning creativity... if that makes any sense.

I've done led in bathroom too, but not in the niche. Instead it was behind the crown moulding, which was a few inches below the ceiling.

Amazon has waterproof LED stripes with the remote without the soldering for a fraction of what you may have paid at wholesale. Same crap in my son's bedroom running 24/7 for 3 years so far. Completely plug and play.

Great job 👍👍 how about wifi relays connected to personal assistant ie.. Google, Alexa, etc.. To have the ability to change light color hands free.. Or infrared motion sensors.. Or "tile in/drywall in" LED channels like Muzata's (led version of schluter) i love LEDs can't wait to see more LED jobs on your channel! Keep up the good work 🤟😎👍 PS.. "Chris Maher" has an awesome channel that covers all about led tutorials and ideas

Very nice work! Hey! Is it okay to put a curbless shower next to the bathroom door. The shower pan area is 36x60. On the 36 wall i will have the width, then glass panel for shower, then door trim 3 inches, and then the door.

Just solder in a new one. I just put a LED strip inside my kids shower and it’s easy to replace if needed. (As long as you know how to solder)

They say 50,000 hours… that’s about 68 years if you have it on 2 hours/day every day 🤷🏽‍♂️

@@Jared-Kreate Do you know how many LED lights state 50,000 hours and go bad after one year! Those 50,000 hour ratings are bull my man........ the LED may last that long but the circuits always have issues after only a year or 2... If your lucky maybe it'll last longer but no way should that be in a shower! Plus kind of gaudy...... but to each it's own

@@cfomusic73I got individual addressable LEDs in my headlights I soldered in. Now that I have said something they will stop working but it's been a year, still working, and my headlights aren't exactly sealed the best. Some moisture does get in. I would definitely leave a way to access it for maintenance whatever the case. They do fail but some are better quality than others.

I'm doing a really small but crazy a.raduis on an island.bbq.and the tile is not nice.i need to cut it back now that I've guessed the Cutts and laid it.then polish...guy who trained me is a hack of a trainer.lets say he don't wanna see nobody get good so he shows u hack crap and I aient liking what I see...any rec on how to do radius next time? 🤔

Not sure what lighting you're using, but we use the hafela led loox system. Top of the line and it looks amazing. Maybe you've had a bad experience, but I can tell you, everyone loves the lighted feature.
