I took the plunge with a mod dwarf about 6 months ago and it's the best thing I've bought for my music in years! So much to inspire you especially when using the graphic interface, and much preferred (my opinion) to the hx stomp. I'll be downloading this plug in later. Thanks for the demo 👍

Nice review, It is possible to upload the convoution reverb files on the MOd Dwarf and then used it as a regular pedal in your chain, or do you need to have the Mod Dwarf connected to a PC in order to run the reverbs?

The computer is just there to set it all up…once you are done with setting up the effects chain you can use it like a normal pedal without a PC! All the Convolution Reverbs are one the Mod Dwarf…the PC is just the editor

Are there alot of free effects/amps and are they good quality? The main thing that turned me off from modaudio stuff is having to pay additional for high quality effects/amps

Most of the effects are free…you have to buy these Reverbs, a few amps and the odd effect …but about 90% of all the effects are free

@@manuelsirotti9340 hope you’ll like it! It does sooo much…can be a bit too much you can do with it at times! We did a video a little while ago where we showed how to use some of the modular synth blocks in it to modulate some of the controls of your effects…it’s pretty much limitless what you can do

@@TSFAHTPS Hey Man. Yes i really Like. I am wondering what could really improve the signal though by making it sound more analog. Maybe paired with a deluxe DSM have you tried this combo ? Can I use maybe the pedal only for effects and not amp simulations maybe it improves because the DSM is analog ? It sounds good however I would like more analog like timbre; at the moment I am running it through a dbx 386 and it also improves a lot in terms of dynamics e sound. Maybe you have a super tube o valve better pedal to recommend for guitar ? It sounds good as I said but sometimes it is a little sharp and to bright and cold which is normal in the digital world. But great pedal, a little unintuitive but I love it :)) I'm a fan too.

Guitarists don't seem to understand the point of reverb IRs. If you have a good IR it will fool your brain into believing the amp was played in the space or through the gear that the IR sampled. In terms of reverb quality, algorithmic reverb can't match it. That's what you mean by 'it doesn't get in the way.' It's the sheer fidelity of it. Each sample of your guitar through the digital device gets convolved with the IR. With a cab, that sound is like a fraction of a second. With reverb it's often many seconds for hundred of thousands of samples. So it takes computing power. There have only ever been two pedals before this that let you have reverb IRs on your pedalboard - the Logidy Epsi (discontinued) and the Polyeffects Beebo. Neither came close to letting you use 15sec reverbs. I use a Fender spring tank IR on my DAW that's 5secs. The drip is absolutely perfect. But I wouldn't want to use it for a chord that fades out. Because the reverb does cut after 5 sects and I'd need to work it to sound decent. Here? No problem. Use a 15sec sample of the Fender tank. I'm going to be selling the Source Audio True Spring and some other stuff to get the Dwarf now. This new plugin makes the Dwarf the best reverb pedal in the world. Yes, with algorithmic 'verbs you can tweak every parameter. But it doesn't mean anything if it doesn't sound as good. With IRs you have to select your verb from a host of samples. But really - what guitar player actually plays with reverb parameters in the middle of a part? Virtually no one. So you simply line up the reverb IR based on what you need for a part, and then switch between them as needed. The zany menagerie of reverbs is very cool and a definite feature. But the real benefit is the sheer quality of the most complex, chaotic modulation effect - that previously you could only have on your DAW - now on your pedalboard.

Sorry if I sound like I'm dissing your vid. I'm just really excited about this and I don't see people passing on what I find so exciting. It drove me nuts seeing people on forums using the EPSI - at one time the _only_ reverb IR pedal in the world, to run cab IRs. Like, fair play. But what a waste.

It sounds killer but for most players you would only need a handful of the sounds In short not the Shoegaze and Star Wars soundtrack sounds. It is $500.00 USD so you pay for more than you need.

It’s not a cheap unit but it does so much more than just these reverbs! It has really good amp sim, can sim, tons of effects…plus it can be a synth, drum machine, sequencer, audio player and even a modular synth…and all of it at the same time! It’s super flexible and impressive unit - and it keeps getting better with every firmware update!! I’m a fan!!

Thanks for the video but man, this shits me. This company has been handing out free pedals to fortunate people such as yourself but they've yet to deliver the unit to some of the original crowdfunding people who actually funded the project. I've now been waiting years for mine as I was one of the original crowdfunders. This is terrible business ethics to be giving away pedals for promo purposes and selling units to the general public yet the people who helped fund it initially have been burnt. For anyone interested in this pedal, I would proceed with caution. If I do eventually receive my pedal that I paid for years ago, I'll update this post and give my honest feedback on this pedal.
