These recipes make about 2 lbs. and fit perfectly in a 33oz shaker.
Put all ingredients in a bowl.. All measured in cups.
Ingredients for the SPG:
1 1/4 Kosher Salt
2 Coarse Ground Black Pepper
1 1/4 Granulated Garlic
Mix all ingredients into a bowl and add to the shaker.

I forgot to tell you how good those poppers were. I did them around a month ago, and will be doing them again this weekend, so good. I plan on using Sweet Mini Peppers, but I may pick up a few Jalapenos when I head to the store.

I like to put Texas Pepper jelly on my poppers. Raspberry Habanero Pepper Jelly and Mango Habanereo are my favorite flavors. I also like their glazes on rib. 1

I like how the scored blocks of cream cheese opened up on the grill to accept some smoke. That bacon on the inside is the way to go. Very delicious video Tommy. Hope all is well bud!

Great elevation Tommy. I too saw how Darrin from Ash Kickin BBQ did the smoked cream cheese and i had to try it. I rubbed my block of CC with The BBQ Rub from killer hogs and put some Kosmos Rib Glazes on the side to dip with the crackers and it was awesome. Really good! Definitely have to add the peppers to the mix very soon. Thanks for another great video.

I tried this over the weekend. I used a combination of Steve’s Pig Powder & Rays Apple Pie rub. Not sure Apple is the flavor I’m going for, but oddly enough it seemed to work. I found, for me, 20 minutes wasn’t long enough to get the jalapeños to soften to what I was looking for. Next time I’m going to smoke the jalapeño shells with the cream cheese at the same time to give them that head start I’m looking for. 1 block of cream cheese, along with the cheddar & bacon fills 12 halves nicely. Cooking the bacon separately and adding it into the mix is brilliant, and I’ll be doing that from now on. I’m going to do this again this weekend and try it two different ways, including adding Rockys bacon hot sauce into the mix. You can’t go wrong with extra bacon flavor, and it will return a little of the heat that was removed from the jalapeños.

Hey Tommy, i’ve been making these poppers for years just the standard plain cheese wrapped in bacon my brother has been stealing my popper thunder he does Christmas dinner I do New Year’s so he makes them on Christmas and I just don’t make them on New Year’s you know too much of a good thing but this year I will use your recipe and put him in his place it really was a great twist on a great appetizer thanks for the great idea have a good one🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍

I have some cream cheese that a bought to smoke. Now you have made me want to go back to the store and get some peppers. I was thinking of putting the cheese on a perforated bbq mat to get smoke on the bottom too. Would the cheese get too soft and ooze through the holes?

@@thegalleryBBQ Since I wrote you, I saw someone else making this by placing the cheese on parchment paper which is more porous than foil. I used my pellet grill on smoke running about 150 with half the block on perforated bbq mat and half on parchment paper for 2 hours. The cheese did not stick to the mat. I have wrapped both up in plastic wrap and will taste test in a week or two.

@@thegalleryBBQ I used Trader Joes Chili Lime rub. After 5 days wrapped in the fridge, I tasted the cheese. The bbq mat had more smoke flavour than the parchment paper. My daughter and daughter-in-law liked the parchment smoked cheese. My son and I liked the bbq mat cheese. I have also used the mats for salmon and bone in ham. They make rotating the protein very easy. I bought the mats off Amazon-rated up to 500º with no direct flame. BBQ Grill Mesh Mat-Set of 5 NonStick Reusable Heavy Duty 13x15.75 Inch Heat Resistant-Easy to Clean PTFE Coated Fiberglass Silicone Free FDA Approved-Suitable for Ovens and Outdoor Grills.
