Scott, just started watching you this summer wanting to keep the family vehicles looking good. I've learned a lot from your detailed descriptions. I bought a small foam cannon from Walmart after you talked about them. Forgetting to have a second hose or jug of water I only had soap to put in the bottle and filled it up. Yes the foam is glorious and gives extra time to do it's work. God bless you Scott. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Walmart blue coral will give you shaving cream foam. It's less expensive than other name brands trust me. Been using this for years.

I do this with break buster for my wheels, put about 150ml to 200ml of just straight break buster in my foam cannon and foam each wheel one at a time and clean them before I move on to the paint, works great, and really really great foam.

Someone told me that a few years ago... been doing it ever since... It last a good while to with one complete fill up. And you can turn it all the way down and it will still foam really good. I can probably knock down 20-25 vehicles with a whole bottle People's Choice Mobile ✌🏿

I love me a 50/50 mix of Meg's Gold Class and DI H20 in the foam canon, for touchless maintenance wash if it hasn't rained, dialing the chemical adjustment knob can actually make the approach pretty economical, if one does a quick coating of the vehicle. I've tried Blue Coral, it doesn't clean well enough.

What about adjusting the air inlet up top and playing with that a bit to see if you can still get the same amount of foam? You have a more concentrated mixture in the cannon, so in theory you could adjust it enough to get good foam and only use 2-3 ounces from the foam cannon

I've always used straight soap, this stuff and the mother's wash and wax works pretty good!

I like a wetter application of foam when I use a cannon. It won't stay on the car as long, but it dissolves/dissipates much quicker. Straight soap in the bottle seems like a waste of soap, and a colossal sea of foam on the pavement that will take a lot of time and water to clean up. I won't be attempting this, but thanks for showing it to us.

seomtimes you dont have to fiill the foam cannon, just screw in the product onto the cannon.

I do this with Mothers Carnauba wash and wax or Meguiars Gold Class. Does 3 car washes very well and paint looks and feels amazing.

I work in the car wash business and I can tell you guys "suds" are for the eyes that's about it. People like seeing the soap.

At the beginning of using the foam cannon matcc I filled it up with straight adams mega foam which gave me unbelievable foam and used it like that for about 10 washing until I found out I need to dilute it. No harm in fact I think I got better cleaning then diluting

Foam cannons are great; after getting one, I really notice how much cleaner your car gets

I put on wash and wax like a paste was with elbow grease. But, I was young and foolish back then when I was 57. I know better researching on KZfaq. Love you guys.

I've done 5 oz mix with water on foam cannon using the ultimate wax and wash I also have done the 13 dollar bottle that they sell at Costco that's wash and wax is a pink soap made by Maguire's also and I have mix with 5oz the rest water in it works really good nice thick foam I love it... This is how I’ve always done it. I don’t think your supposed to premix it that’s what the dial on top is for to control the mix ration

I use about 2-3 ounces of Mr. Pink in my foam cannon smells like bubblegum but it comes out thick like that. I'm able to make 2 passes over most all suvs

Wondering, would there be any downside to this process apart from the soap consumption? Because if not, I would definitely be down to use this method on certain washes.

I have had to do this in my area since i have some of the hardest water I have ever seen. even with a filter on the hose and a designated hose just for washing cars. It works for me and i don't buy the most expensive soap. i use Blue Coral, Meguiar's and Turtle wax soaps.

You are not an idiot Scott. Testing Saturday is to explore the UNKNOWN. This was most certainly done with GUSTO !!! Here I noticed something. the foam was super thick, but it slid right off the car. Would be better if the sliding did not happen. I would bet trying the four dollar brand would give us both more information on the experiment. Good day and peace to you my car washing guru. vf

Have you ever used that soap as a rinse less wash? In a 16oz bottle I put two caps of soap to water. Spray panel and wipe with clean water micro fiber. Seems to work great. The meguires dries with only the residue from the wax. Curious if you have tried.

What if you wound the cannon tap back 1/2 way and introduced more water into the bottle?

I have thought about putting a small amount of ordinary wash & wax in the bottom of my foam cannon and filling the rest with water but not filling the foam cannon all the way to the top with it. Did it actually clean the paintwork?
