In this video I unbox and review the newest security camera from Amazon this is the Blink Mini indoor security camera, it runs at full HD. It can also be mounting on a wall instead of having it sitting on a shelf. This blink mini camera has 2 way audio, with motion detection and night vision. It does a great job and picking up motion, overall the camera is great, and the Blink app works flawlessly great job over all by Amazon. You can also push it to your echo show so you can view it on there. You can receive push notifications as well as seen in the video. I have also already reviewed Amazon's Echo dot 4 gen already, so check the channel out for those videos. I hope you have found the video super helpful. They work perfectly! With 3 of these cameras I can see every corner of the yard, and they were very easy to set up. The best part is I only get the footage I want to see, not hours of videos of the bird feeder swaying in the breeze.

When I am using the blink app on my Android phone, there's a very high pitch sound and hissing noise. Is the microphone too sensitive? Anyway to adjust it? I know that 2 way audio is always not that good on most or all home surveillance cameras. I got this camera for $5 with echo show deal.

@@Darkoholic Hello. Yes It Does Save Videos Onto Your Phone Once You Get The App For It. But Remind You It's Only Free Up To 3-4 Months And After That You're Gonna Have To Start Paying For A Cloud To Keep A Memory Storage.

This is an outstanding review. Sorry if I missed it, but can you save locally ON YOUR PHONE (ie without subscription)? I’m torn between one of these or using Alfred with an old cell phone, which would be free. I want to monitor my place while away and record any unauthorized entry.

Issue for me is if the house power goes out for whatever reason you also lose this camera. Think I'll stay with wireless battery powered. Good review though...thanks.

I have a Blink account with an XT2 and Blink mini which qualify for free cloud storage. Could i add another Blink mini to that account if i were to put it in another building using a different Wifi connection ?

That's a great question, I'm not 100% sure on that but registered under the same Amazon account it should work, the only thing throwing me off would be the different Wifi. Hopefully someone else see's this and can help us out:)

I know it’s indoor camera, but I live in a student apartment complex where it’s covered and it wouldn’t get wet. Is the cord for this camera thick where it can’t get on top of the door where it can close and open without any issue??

I’m looking into using this camera as a “baby monitor” for my grandmother. She has dementia and I live next door. We have about a 2-3 hour period between my uncle who lives with her going to work and me getting over there. Do you think this camera would be suitable? My only concern is that there is no voice notification. Is there a similar camera available with the voice notification?

Does anyone know how to make my live view last longer? I want to use it as a baby monitor but my live view only lasts a couple minutes; then it asks me if I want to continue and even though I press the continue button, after a couple times it stops the live view anyway. Help!

I keep finding mixed reviews, with this connected to an echo show, can you see a live stream? Say I’m upstairs and want to see and chat with my kids downstairs

I just tested it, you can see a live stream if you are connected to a echo show. So say your upstairs and the camera is downstairs viewing your kids you can see a live stream and hear what their saying, but you can't speak to them only hear them. But if you go on the Blink app you can hear and speak to them. Hope the info helps:)

Awesome thank you for responding! And is there a 30second max? I heard some people say after 30seconds you had to keep clicking “continue live” to keep streaming. Not sure if this was on the blink app or the Echo.

This camera doesn't have the free 24 hr cloud storage like the cloud cam? If not that's really lame. We have to pay another $30 bucks for a module that basically just add SD functionality. And SD card slot could have easily been added to the camera.

Through the window is crap. But I put mine outside on my balcony with two-sided tape and it’s been there since last winter. Works great outdoors even at -40

mine worked fine during daylight, was very happy, but at night it has a very bright blue light that reflects off windows. was told by Blink care that you could not use this through windows. only in house. that really does not work for security camera. outside ones do not work below 30 degrees, battery fail. took mine back it just did not measure up as security camera.

You can use it through glass, just switch off night vision and the led.

Hi, I bought the blink indoor camera got the 30 days free, and have tried contacting blink and Amazon about the "Amazon cloud service" that I need for the subscription plan. One says to contact the other it's like a ping pong game back and forth "Contact them no contact them" Do you know how I can get The Amazon cloud service and which one for the blink mini indoor camera. My Blink does notify for sound .I armed it and went out ,but wife forgot to turn off tv ,so I got about 15 alarm sounds before I had to stop car and go into the app to turn off sound .

Just turn it off .I only turn mine on when we go out . Also go into Amazon settings privacy and turn off so Amazon does not store what you are saying .
