I always go to YOUR videos FIRST whenever I'm looking for reviews. You always go straight to the point without a lot of jibber jabber about the weather, how cute your dog is or what you ate for dinner last night as many other reviewers do. If I have a question I've found that if I continue to watch the entire video you always end up explaining in detail something I might have had a question about. You ROCK man!

Thanks for this. I’m picking this up as part of a bundle deal with the Echo show 8 I got on sale from Best Buy. I live alone in a one bedroom apartment so there won’t be much to surveil. 😅 I see myself just playing around with this and having it for when I call maintenance or someone like that.

Excellent review. I am comparing it to Samsung Smarthings cam AND Kasa tracking/ swivel cam and it compares favorably. I try to save money by DIY but by the time I'm through with all the trial and error I haven't saved much (and end up with unneeded gear). I also tried Wyze. Connecting and staying connected to wifi can be a challenge as I don't have endless money to keep upgrading equipment. My router Netgear is 1900ac, but why do we have to worry about changing bands as stuff?

Thank you so much for your review I just got mine today from Kohl's for $24 pre-black Friday and there's a lot in this small little camera The video is amazing the app was very easy instructions on how to add your Wi-Fi how long you want your video to record the notification alert I should have bought a couple more. If anyone's thinking about it don't think twice I even tested it at night and the night vision is spectacular as well.I gave it a 10 review for anyone thinking about it you will not be disappointed with added security.

Great review thanks. We have Blink cameras back and front of the house and they are great but as we have just got our first dog I thought a may need something in the kitchen. Two metre cable length isn’t great but I can live with it. I agree with your gripe about the notifications. I thought that I was missing something when I couldn’t find a way to clear all the notifications as you where saying. Hopefully someone from Blink is going to sort it soon.. Keep up the good work.

If i remember right. The blink xt2 get that click sound too when camera on Even during the day time (i mean every time trigger camera on will have that sound)

Couple years in and I got this for $10 when I ordered a few more blink outdoor cameras. It'll be going in my cabin so I can keep track of the interior as well. Your daughters cuties btw I'm sure they've grown a lot since you did this video.

Thanks for your review. The Wyze cam at $25 also works with Amazon products. I have a Blink XT2 outside and 4 Wyze comes throughout my house i.e. covered porch. Trying to decide between the two for the upper level of our home.

xt2 only allows about 20 seconds of live streaming without clicking continue. Does the mini allow unlimited streaming duration since it's plugged in? (Want to use as baby monitor)

Just curious, doesn’t the IR change to night or day mode automatically as it gets dark or light? If that’s the case it should change as you turn off the lights and not make clicking noise through the night. Nice review. Thanks.

Just watched your review, it was great but I have a question... Is there a delay on the video from live to actual video you’re watching on your phone? My Arlo is the worst and has a 16 second delay.. your response is appreciated regarding this issue before I do decide to purchase, thanks.

Keep in mind that if you have an existing account with regular Blink cameras already on it, you will be able to store your Blink Mini recordings for free to that account. No extra charge.

I realize that I'm a bit late on my comment here, however on your complaint about the IR light clicking sound. There are three settings immediately above the IR intensity setting. On, Off, Auto, choosing on or off will eliminate the clicking sound. During the day having the IR set to on will not degrade your video quality in the least. With the only downside is that you will have a very minimal power usage as the IR light stays on 24/7. Anyways, I hope that helps you out.

Currently you can only view one live feed at a time. This is due to the fact that they operate on battery power with 2-year stamina under standard settings. Perhaps future products from BLINK will leverage this split view. But to achieve that you are looking at wired solutions typically and maybe slightly more expensive surveillance style cameras.

Does it show if your phone has to have a certain software number or higher for someone that has a say 2 year old cell thru metro or one of the pay as you go plans.. they don't send out software updates on time as say Verizon, ATT and those would?

Great review. Without the subscription, will this send short video clips with a motion alert showing me what tripped it? I don't need continuous monitoring and have cats in the house. I just want to know that when I get an alert, was the motion detected a pet or an intruder?

Great video. I know this video is 2 yrs. old, but I just picked up a 2 pack at Best Buy for $33 can’t beat that. I believe this sale is good until 10/15/22. So far I’m liking the mini for what my needs are and the video is great.

I went for the BB sale and ended up returning my Blink Mini for the Eufy pan and tilt. Just a much better camera overall, even if you just want a basic camera. Much better video, sound and app. The pan and tilt has been much more useful than I thought but you can get the non tilt for a few dollars cheaper.
