Localnomad7498 , yes we have EDV at our dsp and I love it I wouldn’t trade it for any other so smooth only downside trying to maneuver on tight neighborhood roads other than that it’s great!

Just do it & focus! You can change the delivery pins closest to you to save time for yourself instead of circling around. I still remember I used to work with DSP for nine months and having a good time driving around in suburban & urban areas in NJ. But the DSP position didn't last, so I switched to working with the USPS as Assistant Mail Carrier for a better salary and federal benefits; Soon, I'm converting to a Career employee at the End of this year. As for you, Good luck, and don't work too hard on yourself.

Hey so all of last I was doing in the warehouse for amazon but since being back from school thinking about doing delivery for amazon which is across the street from the warehouse. I’ve honestly just been hearing bad things about delivery for amazon. Was wondering if you could share your take on delivery as I can tell you’ve been doing for a while. I’m curious, you don’t take your seatbelt off and you don’t take the keys out when you deliver. Aren’t you scared of being robbed or crashing and coming out the windscreen?

Don't overthink it on your first day. Try to organize your van correctly to make things easier on you...and just follow the phone 📱

Do the best you can and take your time is huge. If you hit the 10 hour mark with packages coming back, that's okay so don't stress yourself

I guess your DSP is not super strict on seatbelt violations. I do the same seatbelt trick but if the van is in motion the camera will flag you if it doesn't see seatbelt around your shoulder. And dispatch will call us out. Too many violations they say they will fire you. I had one, never made that mistake again

Netrodyne never flags me for seatbelt unless I don't pull the strap over my chest. I keep my belt clicked in all day.

@@krisp35 the seatbelt trick does work. What I meant was I noticed in a few of your videos that your van was moving but you hadn't pulled the strap over yet.

Oh oh lol.. depends on how long it's moving for. Most likely, I was driving literally one house over, so sometimes I get away with not pulling it over at all. But I don't do that often.

How much of a difference is it driving the step vans compared to the regular ones? I’m considering trying the step vans but im worried about going into those tight spaces/driveways. By the way love your videos!

It's different. Loud and bumpy. I know they try to keep the step vans away from tight street areas... so you won't have that problem too often. But, you just get used to it and start learning where you can fit and where you can't.

Also just take extra precaution on how tight the space is and if you feel that you can fit. If you think you can fit tightly without hitting anything then do it, if not go around for your safety. I've been driving step vans for 2 years, just takes practice.

You are scheduled to work 9 hours. But I believe Amazon doesn't like the drivers to be out past 10:00 p.m. so even if you don't have your route finished and it's after 10:00, I think they will call you back in.

Lol.. I'll be ok since I only do that hack when I'm in a neighborhood going to houses right next to each other. I wear my seatbelt on all highways, to and from my route. 😉

How do you like the step vans compared to the CDV? Me personally I see no reason to drive the step van because I have plenty of room as is with the CDV. The step van seems to be more of a headache due to not being able to go through narrow roads

I do it cause it pays more. It does get annoying, but I'm at the point now where I'm 100% used to it.

@@krisp35 No the CDV. Custom Delivery Vehicle There basically the cargo vans with the back ripped out and replaced with a box cargo area (i think its the same size as the step van cargo). Youve never seen them?

How are you not getting hit with seatbelt violations taking your belt off earlier and putting it on after you've already started moving? o.o

Because I do it fast enough to where the camera doesn't catch it, but if I take too long to pull the strap around me, it will catch it. It all depends on the number of seconds that you literally don't have it around your chest. I've come to learn when too long is too long

Ummmmmm, netradyne camera doesn't catch you with that seatbelt hack? It's also a FedEx ground hack, but now with those cameras watching us... We really can't do it anymore 😢

No netradyne only cares about having the strap o er your chest and the belt buckled. Doesn't care about the bottom strap

They make you pass stops like 32 to avoid crossing the street making you get out the passenger side every stop, Its safer but a waste of time

When you have to go, you find the closest spot and go. The guy drivers have it a lot easier, lol. And you do get breaks. Two 15 minutes and 1 half hour

I miss working for FedEx I miss my step van, i miss my route 🥲😂 but sometimes we have to move on when the bosses don’t want to give you a raise. Now I’m with Amazon XL and the peace of mind I have feels so good. I like your attitude ZERO negativity.
