She “lost it” when he told her he was leaving her after his mom died. She got a restraining order while he was out of town and couldn’t defend himself. She broke her own restraining order by tracking him down in San Francisco at his hotel where he’s telling her he can’t fix what she’s done and she wants a hug and he refuses. She was so offended by him leaving she went scorched earth on him. The TRO in 2016 didn’t “ruin him” enough, so she wrote the op-ed in 2018 in collaboration with ACLU. The initial drafts did have his name in it. She wanted ATTENTION. At any costs. She had to tear him down and stand on his “ashes” to get it. She wanted attention. She timed the op-ed with the release of Aquaman to promote herself further. Good grief she filmed him slamming cabinets I believe the day his mother died, and gave to TMZ. THEN, she filed for the TRO on his daughter’s birthday. That in and of itself is disgusting. She made herself the “face” of DV survivors, but she’s a disgrace to anyone who has truly suffered from DV. She lied and hopped on the Metoo movement to further herself. Period. He never abused her. She in fact abused him. Anyone suffering from DV, or has suffered from it are mad at HER, for making it more difficult to come forward. They are not mad at HIM. They support him. DV is extremely serious and she just took it, lied about it so nonchalant like. Destroying years of progress for victims. She destroyed herself. She destroyed him. She destroyed DV survivors abilities to speak up easier. That is why the whole WORLD is outraged with her.

My ex girlfriend was narcissistic, controlling, spread lies about me, cheated and in the end stalked me. It's been 5 years and I still can't say her name and still have trust issues. If I had to face her in court and listen to her spew more lies about me I'd probably break down crying in all honesty. I cannot imagine how hard this has all been for Johnny. He puts on a brave face because he has to and disguises his pain with humor but he can't even say her name or look at her. My abuse started in 2000 with my ex and finally stopped when my son turned 18 in 2021. I'm a shell of a human. I trust no one. He used the court system against just like AH did JD. The courts took my son from me after finding me unfit because my ex lied abd said I sexually abused my own child by showing him pics of me naked. My ex hacked into my email account, stole nudes and posted pics of me on the internet. I tried to get a TRO but it was denied. They made me go to mediation. The man sided with my ex and said I was u fit. My ex denied me visitation and everything. On the day my son graduated high school, he dumped him on my lap and we haven't heard from him since. I guess since he can't get any more money or anything energy from me, he doesn't want my kid anymore.

So sorry to hear what you have experienced. While I think this trial will go a long way towards highlighting the abuse that men suffer silently, it breaks my heart that Johnny has to display a brutally painful part of his life to the world for scrutiny - for many to gossip about and comment on as though it's entertainment. He's had to bear his soul and show us his wounds in order to clear his name. For that reason, when this trial is done, I hope people will support his work but respect his privacy. That creature he was married to is undiluted malevolance.

Unfortunately Social Services would probably not lift a finger. Its has to be bad, really bad, with physical evidence. Psychological abuse doesn't "present", and its so much worse than physical abuse: it can never be proved, and there are no visual scars. Abuse of a small child is unforgivable and will require YEARS of therapy to get over. I honor Johnny Depp for finding ways to somehow work through his pain of being abused his entire childhood by his "mother". A healthy mother/child bond is vital to the mental health of the child. Unfortunately, you have to have a license to drive a car, but any and all mentally unfit abusers are allowed to have children in thier care and SS has little or no power to intervene. Its a crying shame. As to Johnny's substance issues, I get it. And believe me, if I were married to a person like Amber, I'd be doing drugs 24/7. So happy for him that they never had children. Thats the only ray of sunshine on his horrible decision to marry this....shall we say...person .

I was cracking up and I turned to my fiance and said "Looks like Amber learned a new word!" 🤣 like we all know what it is. In the first few years with one of my abusers, I was in ‘people pleasing’ mode (the abuse had not begun yet). He wanted a very specific type of pistol in his collection. Not long after I ‘gifted’ this to him, he changed. He ended up putting this very pistol, when it was loaded, to my head and made a comment about, “I’d never leave him.” Everything changed at that moment. I took the abuse, but once he began focusing it on my children, we left. I realised I never knew this person. He went to jail (eventually). In court, I could not look at him. I was terrified and focused on the barrister and prosecutors asking questions. My point is, if JD had been abusing her prior to her gifting this knife to him, she would not have got it for him at all. It would have been the last thing she would have bought him.

I disagree. AH has brought an awareness that in 2022, domestic abuse is not gender based. That evidential information cannot be passed on simply because a woman claims abuse. The level of mental illness is exponential in society. AH has enlightened society just how damaging a mentally ill individual can do if they are allowed or enabled to continue.

"Women's rights"? Women have the same rights in law as men. Full stop. What this case will perhaps do is dispel the widely held perception that partner abuse by women is so rare as to be not worth considering - it's largely unacknowledged until a woman actually kills someone. And it might also shine a light on how easy it is for malicious women to make false allegations and use the courts (and the media) to destroy the lives of blameless men (to wit, Heard's no-questions-asked and very public granting of a restraining order in LA and the perverse ruling by Judge Nicol in the UK) .

Isn't this conversation proof enough that JD never physically attacked AH, how could he say that to his alleged punching bag of 4 years or so. It doesn't make sense. And AH, upon hearing those words from JD, for someone who had been repeatedly abused for 4 years, I was expecting a response such as, "Slaap! How could you say that to me, you raped me and beat me up countless times! Huhuhu (with flood of tears)... I can't do this anymore, i want a divorce!" Something like that. This woman is absolutely right, in that it's hard enough for women to prove domestic violence, but cases like this make it harder. I reported an assault years ago, but wasn't taken seriously because they said I was pretty and knew that men liked to look at me. This man burst into my apartment and assaulted me. I was severely bruised but no one took me seriously. I even caught at man that worked in the same building as I did, laughing about it with some buddies. One woman called me a slut. That's what we women face, when we are sexually assaulted. I am repulsed and insulted that Amber could say that Johnny violated her sexually, but she didn't do anything about it. If that were the case, what she described would have no doubt caused her to hemorrhage. I believe she would have said anything to destroy Johnny. I always thought those weird mannerisms and distortions in her face had something to do with the personality disorder, that she'd constantly wearing a mask that is meant to represent whichever emotion she's trying to portray, but doesn't actually feel. And she doesn't feel those emotions because as a child her own emotions and feeling were ignored and not validated, so all that's in her soul is a big void.... and rage. That's my understanding of what borderline personality is anyway.

This is extremely damaging to genuine domestic abuse survivors but it also shines a light on how some women take advantage of the system to falsely accuse men out of spite, men who don’t have the means like Johnny to clear their name. Men have to be increasingly wary of this as they enter into relationships. Be careful out there gentlemen.

He picked her, knew her, & married her. He's no victim. He's a damn drug addict who supplied her. He texted what he wanted to do to her, and Amber confirmed he was doing it. I didn't know who Amber was or existed until this trial. Had I read her op-ed statements before now, I wouldn't have had a clue she was talking about Johnny Depp. You folks need to get your own lives.

I think it was a really smart move of team Depp to let Camille Vasquez do all the crosses with Amber Heard. For once some of the questions asked by a man could have implied sexism and played into her narrative as the alleged vitcim. By makin another woman ask these questions, these allegations are right out of the window. Another thing is that Camille is stunningly beautiful herself and always well dressed. As mentioned in ths video Amber is accustomed to being the pretty and beautiful one who is the center of attention in the room. Having Camille rival her is clearly proviking her. You can see it in her face, her body language and you can hear it in her voice. It's the narcissism that tries to break out of the artifitial shell she has put up.

Eye contact and being in close proximity to a narcissist is dangerous to the victim. He is practicing "grey rocking" her by not looking at her wether he is aware of the practice or not. A narcissist needs to be the center of attention, he is denying her his attention., Which causes narcissistic injury and also triggers her abandonment issues. But at the same time, JD, while In the relationship was having his own abandonment issues triggered by her, his difficulty leaving an abusive person. Staying, because being alone was seen as worse. He was raised with an abusive mother and raised to believe showing his love was through staying and enduring the abuse. That his guilt would be triggered if he left. As he saw his father stay and endure the abuse. He was programmed to stay and programmed to believe that that was love. He did not love himself and did not put his own needs above the abuser's needs. By leaving and put himself first. Narcissists put their needs and desires above everyone else, and do not respect other's boundaries, yet empaths put other's needs above their own and don't have strong boundaries. Toxic relationship. The narcissist hates themselves therefore can not love anyone and they lack feelings of empathy. The empath doesn't love themselves and feel guilt and shame when they put themselves first because they were the groomed to care for the narcissists and feed them. Emotionally, psychologically, physically and spiritually. All the things a narcissist can not do for themselves. The things an empath needs to learn to do for themselves. With a narcissist, the empath will slowly lose every part of themselves as the narcissist slowly steals their identity from them. At the end of that relationship, that is a slow death, the empath will feel as if their heart, mind, body and soul are dying. Only at that point, in a final act of "self preservation", will they see everything within themselves and be able to leave. To confront their inner "demons", created by their past abuse. A narcissist is a mirror. A psychological mirror to others. They can not accept reality, that they are the monster, because they are simply reflecting the empath's projections back at them. Only when you realize that truth, can you forgive those who hurt you. And change yourself to change what a narcissist can reflect back at you. Until the empath wakes up and realizes there are 2 types of people on this planet and that one is only a mirror to what is within them, they will not take their power back.

This whole situation illustrates how careful one has to be identifying abuser v. abused with DV. It seems pretty obvious that AH used the current anti-men atmosphere as a tool of vengeance. When an abuser claims to be the victim to further abuse the true victim, it creates an almost unimaginable hell for the actual victim. It appears that she was making up more and worse stories even during the trial; if so, that's abuse right there.

You'e so right. There's no emotional core or real 'self' there, in her testimony. She puts on so many different emotional/physical masks and gestures, often in a breath or the same sentence. She's never sure what mask will work with her 'audience' and is "getting it all wrong", as you say, when she's under cross-examination, so she looks like she's putting different faces on and off, in rapid succession.

Honestly, I never even thought about Johnny looking down for a second until it was mentioned. I know if I was in a court room with my rapist or my abusive ex that's now in prison, I sure as hell would not be looking at them. Seeing my rapist around town still sends me into a heart episode and screws with my ptsd so badly I can't move, my fiance literally dragged me out of the store because he noticed him before I did and he knew what would happen once I saw him. I would not look at either of them even once. Partially because I'd 100% need an ambulance, but also I wouldn't want to give them the satisfaction.

2:24 A lot of people wonder about how an actress could act so bad. But the thing to remember is that she is a film actress, not a stage actress. She is not used to her first take having to also be the good one. She is used to acting a scene and having a director say, "Cut, let's do this again. Only this time act more hurt by the question."
