In this video I put a new AMD reproduction bumper on my 68 Satellite. Instead of a Satellite bumper I use a Coronet bumper for reasons explained in the video. Thanks for reading/watching!

I have heard a lot of good things about AMD. Great source for Square Body parts.

@OCG - Olde Carr Guy Thanks a lot for watching! The little teaser of the Qjet pickup truck at the end was partially inspired by the results of your Qjet swap video. I was already thinking the smaller primaries and vacuum operated secondaries would help the low end power out a lot and your truck appeared to run much better with the Qjet confirming my guess.

Hey man! The Satellite is looking badass as always, I like what you did with the strips on the bumperettes. I would love to see to see a full vid on the Coronet someday, it looks like a pretty serious build. Thanks for the heads-up on this vid, I have been checking in on the channel every month or so but my email alerts are definitely not working. The deer strikes and the parking lot donut mishap sound pretty wild, that car has some stories for sure. Always looking forward to the next vid.
@Impactjunky3 жыл бұрын
@East Bay Hounds Thanks a lot man! Hope you've been doing well! The Coronet is going to be about as serious as I can afford. I'm definitely going to build a roots blown 5.9 Magnum for it. I already have the motor and headers but I need to buy the 800 dollar blower intake and then spend another $2k-$3k on a blower and everything else. If I supercharge it with a good blower cam and the stock heads and pistons and bottom end I'm hoping for about 600-700 HP on about 5-10 PSI with insane torque and throttle response magnitudes greater than how the Satellite runs now. If I can afford another couple grand for a 408 stroker kit with forged pistons that let me turn up the boost even more I should be in the 800-900 HP range if I'm lucky. As for the parking lot thing, I had just dropped off my then GF at her job at the parts store and there were some rowdy gear heads in the parking lot egging me on to do a burnout or something when I left. I felt confident enough to try to get sideways around a line of cars and a light pole, more of a drift than a donut I guess. I tried to cut it close to the inside and clipped the concrete pole base with just a couple inches of my front bumper. It was a massively embarrassing incident for me but I'm smarter from it now LoL

@George Mcmillan Hey man, always good to hear form you! Truth be told you couldn't have picked a much poorer person to make an offer like that to. I know its been a long time but just cause I'm a Mopar guy doesn't mean I can afford to pack up and drive 3 or so states away to buy a couple hundred bucks worth of parts. My dad said he would help me do it when we planned it out but that's becoming increasingly unlikely as life just seems to get harder and harder all the time. I have family I'd love to visit in your state but I can't afford to. That's why I offered to have you come up here and make the deal and hang out a while. I can assure you we'd have a great time here.

@@Impactjunky, I was just kidding man. Havn't heard from you on a while. Due to recent developements, (health issues), I am having to put the car game to rest man. My projects for the most part are gone now, as well as most of my other hobbies. It would have been great to get together at some point just to hang out and talk cars and just about anything else for that matter. I have enjoyed seeing these projects you have done. I would have liked to see the Trailduster brought back to life though. Just keep doing what you do bro, and I'll keep watching as long as I can.

@@Impactjunky, Eric, the new bumper looks really good man! Back in the day, I was never really a fan of "bumperettes", generaly because they were too big and bulky looking. However, all it took was a time or two hitting something and not completely destroying a bumper changed my mind on them! Whenever possible, I would put smaller ones on if I could find some that were decent. When I watched this video and you were talking about the bumperettes, I thought to myself with all of the Deer in your area and the random chance of hitting them, why not put a push bar or small brush gaurd on the bumper to reduce the cance of having to replace it again.
