Last winter, we travelled to rural Indiana to visit Amelia Huff -- a widely respected microtonal composer and performer -- who also performs under the monikers Zhea Erose and Digital Harmonic. Magic was captured over two days of music and talk. Enjoy this early preview.

thats really true especially what she said at the start. i remember in middle school finding 19 edo but i felt sad that it was hard to find the necessary resources so i'd always brush it away until one day years later i decided to try n give it a shot myself

Absolutely ! For me that is the beautiful thing with Microtonality, the possibility to have just tuning in more keys is beautiful

You should get this keyboard into the hands of a Gamelan master tuner (the person who tunes the instruments so they fit in the ensemble). They have extensive tradition on microtonality; classically educated Western folks are just at their baby steps.

I can't help but notice the Waldorf Iridium in the background, and it reminds me that I have been wondering if the Lumatone can serve as a MIDI controller for the Iridium, so you can microtonally play the Iridium's granular engines. I can only imagine that would make a powerful combination.

i dont think dissonance is more ugly. i was more so trying to express the idea of clarity vs lack of clarity in sonority for absolute beginners
