I'm 65, and I just moved back to America after many years in Europe. (Because a relative needs live-in help, and in my family I'm most able to relocate.) I'm not happy to be here, and am looking forward to leaving when my relative no longer needs me. Thoughts about renouncing: Don't mistake published tax rates for effective rates. After tax planning, effective American tax rates can be really low for business owners. For example, real estate investors don't ever have to pay taxes. Capital gains rates are zero if you have no other taxable income. That's why CEOs take $1 salary and a bunch of stock options: they end up paying no tax. The challenge with retaining an American passport is that American tax law doesn't always align with the other country where you live/do business. It's workable, but it takes specialized tax advice that can be hard to find. I'd get a Tier 1 passport before I renounced. None of the cheap CBI programs would make me comfortable. I'd do Portugal if CBI was my only option.

Eventually you'll want to surround yourself with friends and family. I have a friend who decided to build a new town for likeminded people and started an investment club in this pursuit. After 7 years they have 400 families living there, and those are highly intelligent effective people with great morals who enjoy the company of each other.

I keep hearing about these 'work holiday visa' only to find that anything that has to do with USA citizens shuts them out or needs a major investment/ fee. It may be hard to get a US passport but once you do or you're born with it with no other nationality... its tough to get out of.

I agree also. You didn't mention affordable health care either. Imagine getting really sick, actually you don't even need to get really sick to get a outrageous medical bill. The whole medical system is broken. However you can't run away from the problem. I think every country has its pros and cons. I think finding a good balance would be a better option.

The scariest thing is that the UAE built infrastructure with the money that left to bring back all the money from the world, only Dubai is the luxury illusion nice place to stay , just move a few miles away and you’ll see what is the real life in UAE. With that being said needs to be careful with who you invest in.

Great video, Hayden. From the beginning, I thought you would announce that you're renouncing your US citizenship. If you can do so actually, and if you change your mind, you can probably get an investment US visa for $500k or find some other option. I agree that the US is an excellent country if you have nothing. They will feed you and give you a job, but it's not a good place if you're wealthy. However, there are some expectations for the ultra-wealthy since they all have public companies, and there is not much optimization you can do, so it makes no sense for them to leave the US. Anyway, I wish you good luck finding a place that suits your lifestyle.

It's obligation due to agreement between US and Ukraine, GB and Russia. Protection in exchange of atomic weapons Ukraine remove its territory. What US do now is using this war for her own benefits. It can stop in one day if it will ( and it should according to Agreement) but US playing a political game and losing now.
