They were just AMAZING last night when they performed at Duke University here in No Carolina. The crowd was maybe 20% African (American -- and from Africa). EVERYONE had a blast, and most of the crowd was "white" and middle-aged. The love we showered on them...and afterwards, they just mixed with everyone and we all had a blast -- it was like everyone had adopted them as their kids. THIS is one of the greatest examples of international diplomacy I've ever seen. I was speaking with one of the young men, and he said this was their last stop -- only did 4 American cities on their world tour. They'd come to Durham from Nashville. I asked if they'd had a good trip and he was like OH, YES!!! And I asked him to keep a good thought for us and to remember how much we loved them when he goes home...

I am a South African and this makes my heart so warm. I feel so so proud. Our country is going through so much, but soulful music and vocals like this remind me of the good things that our country has to offer.
