Please explain how the belief in a non-existent missile is in any way, shape, or form good for us in any respect whatsoever? "Now we’re looking to take it to the next level and actually find a customer who’s willing to support us, building the missile, and actually demonstrating in flight.” - Rob Osterhoud, Lockheed Martin The War Zone, The Lowdown On Lockheed's Newly Revealed Mako Hypersonic Missile, April 11, 2024

I wish we could get one with the effect for some of US allies. Let's be real here, if the US ends up at war with China or Russia for whatever reason, the other one will join too. And the US is by no means strong enough to fight both at the same time, so they need the European allies, even in the sorry state of our militaries. Especially Germany needs help in that department since our tries were either extremely cringe or had a straight up opposite effect in the last decade...

Cools story except the mako has been in development since 2017 as a competitior for a new anti radiation missile which is a contract it did not secure. After the announcement of the mako the us navy placed it onto a list of programs they aim to fun for next fy.

@MrBenjamin4000
@MrBenjamin4000 2 ай бұрын
@@elduquecaradura1468 Oh dear... that is actually a very complex topic. Let me make a few points. Neutrality is just a rhetorical diplomatic tool. Nothing more, nothing less. Ideologically there is no true neutrality. As soon as one starts, let's say trading with each other, one establishes a structure of dependencies, responsibilities, etc. ... Especially as a nation, which has no access to any sea and whose high standard of living massively depends on global trade (Switzerland). Naturally also not every one of one's partners has the same status. For example, Switzerland procures many of its key weapon systems from the USA, for decades now. The US in general is one of our most important trading partners. On top of that, Switzerland is geographically and culturally a western nation (even our constitution is roughly modelled after the US Constitution). So, obviously Switzerland has never been and never will be "neutral". Unfortunately the Swiss even supported the Nazi Regime on the eastern front on a small scale during World War 2. So, a better and more accurate term to apply is block free. Switzerland is a block free nation. Personally I would prefer a Swiss NATO Membership, but I do think as long as the Russians don't completely lose their shit, Switzerland will remain block free for the foreseeable future. Regarding your shit bingo... the times of relative global peace are over. To paraphrase HLC: "At some point the US and in broader terms the West has to reassert its position in the global food chain by means of extreme violence." Like it or not, but an axis of fascist regimes challenge the west, challenge all free nations on a broad front. We should not hope for, but prepare for war.

Wow we getting the P-8 involved now?! Impressive. For those that are curious, the P-8 is the reconnaissance aircraft replacing the 50 year old P-3 Orion platform. It's essentially a Boeing 737, stripped of 151 seats, fitted with recon combat stations, the baggage bay an internal weapons bay, and since it shares so many parts with the 737, makes it highly cost efficient to operate. It's range is conservatively the same as Buffs, being that it can be refuled airborne.

@@Kilovotis We live in a clown world, no question about it & I have no idea where these bizarre twists are going to wind us all up. I also miss being able to engage in public discourse without fear of censorship, being labeled a bot & being called completely baseless names. I knew one marriage that was sorta like that of the OP but the hubby in that relationship would go to extreme lengths to assert his control over his wife, son, daughter & even our mutual mother in law. His wife spent way too many years making excuses for his behavior, getting beat, choked, SA'd, etc. She turned to drugs & alcohol for a while & while she eventually got clean of the drugs she still struggles with alcohol. He died, likely as a result of an insulin overdose, most probably because he was too high on pain killers to even realize how much he was giving himself. His daughter became a non-surgical trans-man; Nor is she on the hormones. Her partner is a mostly non-surgical trans-woman. If she were on hormones apparently it would interfere with their intimacy. His son was a total basket case. Emo to the extreme, agoraphobia to the nines, social anxiety to the point of trembling & with a strong desire to do something bad to his father. After his father passed it didn't get much better. We don't know many details but he & his older half-brother got pretty close. Everyone in the older half-brother's family accepted him & his nieces really loved him. Something went horribly wrong one day though & nobody is willing to talk about it. He attacked his older half-brother, put a few bullets in him & then sequestered himself away in a back part of the house in a guest room. The kids & wife were unharmed, they managed to get my older nephew to safety after that. When the cops arrived & tried to talk him down they heard a single pew-pew discharge. He'd removed himself from the gene pool. Now my wife's older sister the mother of those two boys & wife to that twisted individual I mentioned has indicated that her older son is having a real hard time recovering from what happened. He & his wife are now separated, plus his daughters are in counseling. If she'd only have listened & realized how toxic this man was earlier. She even knew that he'd SA'd his mother-in-law but stayed with him; Can you believe it?! No, there was no being open in that household. I'm tremendously grateful that while I had insecurities & a bit of a temper when I was younger neither my wife or I ever refrained from communicating. Even if it resulted in an argument, that was fine, because we both trusted one another that we'd be able to sort things out. While I've never resorted to violence I've gotten hit a time or two; Then a beautiful tackle, that would've made a linebacker proud, when I tried leaving the house to drive around in the family car. The funniest part about the tackle is that I was so shocked & genuinely impressed at how perfect her take-down was that I just couldn't stay mad. I busted up laughing! Eventually we were both laughing like idiots - all in a pile by the front door. That cooled both our heads & we were able to make amends over whatever it was. lol We NEVER sleep on an argument; That's a rule we've held since our relationship began all the way back in '96. In any case she's never told me what I could or couldn't do (unless you count taking the car out on a drive that night?! lmao) - I also have never told her what she could or couldn't do. We've both admitted if we'd rather something different to be done about one thing or another but that's a whole different kettle of fish. Neither of us have had to remind the other of our vows either our hard earned trust is too important to squander.

Willy Pete is also used for obscuration. Dropping it on an enemy position is just as effective as dropping it in front of it. Especially if some of that smoke is cause by their equipment catching fire.

@@OrbDaPlug I still only half believe everything that happened to start those 20 long years of war. Osama was the CIA's boy during the Afghan Mujaheddin insurgency against the Soviets. He was already on the FSB's S#it list so why on Earth would he make an enemy of his former allies too? That never made much sense to me. Furthermore, while all flights in the US were grounded, the FAA gave his family special permission to fly & vacate the nation's airspace. Then there was the nurse that testified that after 9/11 Osama was receiving medical care at a US military hospital; Though I can't remember the location of it; Just that it was nowhere near Afghanistan or Pakistan. Never mind the whole issue with the towers collapsing, including Tower 7, which just happened to be the depository for all of the CIA's financial records. (While they were on the verge of being audited.) Lastly were the aircraft themselves. I'm still not sure if I believe what really hit the pentagon since none of the light poles were damaged in the slightest, despite the shallow angle of descent, when not long prior one of our VC-25s took out a few near an airfield on a shallow approach on landing. Furthermore the video that depicted an aircraft which flew directly over the cameraman was NOT a civilian 767. It had parts of the fittings for a KC-767; Though it was painted in proper airline livery. It was just like one of those that Boeing was in the process of preparing for Italy. Incidentally the delivery got pushed back almost a full decade due to unspecified delays. In the following 3 weeks all online sources which talked about the progress of the KC-767s for the Italian Air Force were scrubbed from the internet. (I used to have screenshots but I've gone though 2 or 3 hard drive deaths since.) Then there was the issue of ISIS/ISIL/Islamic State/The Caliphate. In the beginning they were entirely armed with off the shelf civilian equipment, such as the Toyota Hilux, body armor, optics, etc. Plus easily sourced US surplus such as M16s & M4s. Then we, seemingly without any motivation, attacked Libya. Although Libya had been a state sponsor of terror in the past they had long since shifted their direction & even paid restitution to those that lost their lives in the high profile destruction of an airliner over the British Isles. Libya had become the nation with the highest standard of living in Africa & was poised to introduce a new gold-backed currency that would become the equivalent of the Euro but for Africa. Then we suddenly attacked? If it were even just for fear that the USD would lose a great deal of it's value it would be a war crime. However the supposed gold reserves soon after disappeared like a puff of smoke. Even then it doesn't appear that was the entire purpose to the attack. Libya was like a used car lot of Soviet era equipment that had been kept in mothballs, in working condition, that could readily be made operational. Suddenly huge numbers of cargo vessels were headed to Turkey from Libya & convoys full of vehicles with spray-painted over Libyan markings were filmed passing into Syria from Turkey. Now, I'm no rocket scientist or brain surgeon or rocket surgeon or brain scientist but it sure seems the US tried to use ISIL in the same fashion as they used the Mujahedin in Afghanistan. McCain was even photographed in a carefully cropped photograph that removed the banner above he & the "freedom fighters" that clearly indicated that they were ISIL. I have no idea who our guys were really fighting in Northern Iraq & Syria unless ISIL got out of the US's control; Or that was just a cover for fighting al Assad forces & Wagner Group? My point in bringing all this up is; Yes, our strong men & women went abroad, answering to Uncle Sam's call. Believing that they were there to make a difference in making the world a better place & especially protecting American Interests. I applaud those men & women, would proudly take off my hat & bow my head to them in respect while I put it over my heart. However, all things considered, who's interests were they really protecting? Did the actions that Uncle Sam had them take really make the world a better place? If even HALF of what I've said above seems legit ... then what does that mean about who the enemy of We the People, of the United States of America, really are?
