I wasn't going to upload this, but was surprised at the number of dog park visitors that didn't know a couple of tips.
1. Don't bring an overly excited or overly insecure dog into the park on a leash, they either become territorial and don't want any dogs to approach you or fearful and the dogs in the park respond incorrectly to it.
2. A really effective method to disengage two dogs in a fight is the wheelbarrow method, grab both their hind legs and lift at the same time moving backwards. Don't hurt their legs just be firm. kicking hitting and putting yourself in between them gets you possibly bit. I would recommend doing it to both dogs if possible to keep them from reengaging. However in this fight doing just the ABD ended the issue. I would also add, choking the aggressor out with their collar or a leash is the next step.

It is an "American Bulldog" which is different a different bread from Bulldog. Pitbulls are not really an official breed. American Bulldog and Staffordshire Bull Terrie are referred to a Pitbull because they are very alike in appearance and often mixed. The Stafford was developed with and Terries as they are very aggressive fighters in temperament but also slightly smaller than American Bulldog. Also a lot of mixing of the two has happened to get larger Stafford especially for the purpose of dog fighting. A few decadess later and the common Pitbull has come into being thought not an official breed. - The dog in the video is appears to be an American Bulldog and not mixed.

The wheelbarrow doesn’t always work just so people are aware … I helped a lady at the park when her dog was attacked by someone else’s totally unprovoked because the dog was reactive and quite dominant towards other dogs… had been in a few fights … I had to put the dog in a choke hold before it would let go her her dog while the owners of the aggressive dog really did nothing and didn’t even reprimand their dog… honestly some dogs shouldn’t go to dog parks if they act like this there is no excuse for it…dog doesn’t have tolerance towards other dogs don’t go to the park and put others at risk simple…

I think what caused this altercation was the person who brought Winnie in brought her in on a leash to the park, this almost always causes issues between in loose dogs and the leashed dog. This was her daughters dog and she was nervous coming into the park and kept her on lead.

I have two Dachshund minis and personally, I’ve only taken them into the dog park when there aren’t any dogs around. My dogs are sweet and aren’t reactive. One loves to meet the big dogs and the other is very shy around any sized dog. Although I want them to enjoy themselves, I’d rather not take the risk of them being attacked. Also, I feel like you get a feel of your dog’s reaction when you take them on walks. If you know your dog reacts to certain things like other dogs…then don’t take them to a dog park. If you are trying to get them adjusted to being around other dogs then have them trained properly/safely.

I won't be taking my dog to a dog park again after what happened this morning. I have mixed feelings about it anyway and usually don't go in there, unless it's empty, or there are only small dogs in there. I had just entered the park with my 5 year old Frenchie, we were going to the water fountain to get a drink before going home. A couple entered the other end with 3 medium size dogs, all different breeds and immediately let them all off their leads. They ran around with each other for a few seconds, then as soon as they saw us, they all bolted as a pack and started trying to attack my dog. I tried to pick him up, but he's heavy and I'm small and I was dragged down to the ground by the dogs. I tried to fight them off, one of them had my dog's back in his jaws and wouldn't let go, I was hitting it in the head and screaming at it until the owners made it across the park and managed to pull them off. It was obvious that they had no training and were completely out of control. Miraculously my dog only lost a few chunks of hair, and got a couple of minor scratches and didn't seem too traumatized by it. I wasn't bitten, but messed my knees up on the gravel. I learned through the brief conversation with the man that the woman, the owner of the dogs knew they were aggressive because he said that usually she is careful about letting them out around other dogs, he said she probably didn't see you. My dog is a solid boy, even though he's small, if that had been a tiny dog or a puppy, it would have been killed. I don't understand why people with aggressive dogs take them out in public and risk the safety of people and other dogs, let alone let them loose in a public place. I was badly traumatized by the incident, it's ruined my ability to go out for a relaxing walk with my dog now, I will always be on the look out for dangerous dogs now, that's when I venture out again. I didn't watch the video, just the first part.

Never ever ever do you try to pull two dogs apart when one has attached itself to the other. All you're doing is putting more tension on the bite and increase the potential for injury if the dog starts to thrash. What you focus on is opening the jaws while keeping both dogs as immobilized as possible. Always keep a bottle of water on you. Pour it down the aggressors throat, he will let go when he feels like he's drowning. Harmless, quick and effective.

Bully breeds can't be trusted thankfully I was able to get the owner to see sense and get the dog put down when I threatened to involve authorities or it could of been her child next I hate these dogs and the dog was well trained, well treated, well socialised. It was treated well and was with other dogs regularly it wasn't abused, it wasn't the owners fault as the bully defenders like to say. My pup didn't even acknowledge or look at it when it decided clear gate and kill her for no reason

I don't know how this fight started but it looked like the only dog attacking was the american bulldog. While walking my gentle old feeble, deaf pyrenees, an aggressive dog attacked unprovoked. My dog was tangled in her leash while the other dog was on top biting her. The owner of the other dog had trouble gaining control of her dog. It was quite traumatic and my dog never walked well again. Seeing videos of aggressive dogs savaging/killing gentle or weak dogs make me sick. What can be done to help ensure only committed, knowlegeable people own dogs genetically prone to aggressive/protective behavior? So many don't socialize or train their animals. I understand it's not the dog's fault but the fact is the danger remains.

the rules for the dogpark are sooooo simple: 1 no leashed dogs 2 no bitches in heat 3 no puppies 4 no toys 5 no food and if you have a bull type dog, always take a breaking stick with you and practice at least 20 times on how to use them or better yet, don't take a pitbull if you don't know how to handle them. yes they are sweet. remember what they were genetically made for and improved and improved and improved for? (but who could have forseen this you ask? well dogs having a quarrel is nothing new and with a bull type the consequences are bigger. we all know that. so yes, you could have forseen this) (you have a bull type and don't know what a breaking stick is nor how to use it? shame on you. use google/youtube) what i like about this specific dogpark: - it's relatively big - there's trees in the middle that provide some shades - high fences what i don't like: - the 2-feeters are mostly standing still. standig still (freezing) is what a dog does before an attack on either prey or a dog it doesn't like. so when your standing still your sending out a bad signal - the 2-feeters are often staring the dogs right in the face (agression behaviour in dog language (oh, you did not know that? brush up on your dog knowledge!)) - there are benches which 2-feeters have a tendancy to sit (still) on and that in itself increases resource protection behaviour in many dogs in the modern world there is no need for bull type dogs, when.... (wait for it!) ...... you take in consideration what they were made for. but that goes for many dog breeds

We have to move them off of our king sized bed to the cool wood floors to go to bed…lol. Cats also go running to check out any fighting among other cats. I have quite a few and it’s enlightening to watch the social structure within a clowder of cats. Same with our dogs. The pack may have disagreements but the great majority are just not looking to fight. They always go back to the same pecking order. Thank you for sharing your video.

That’s why you don’t take your dog to dog parks. Diseases infested and a disaster waiting to happen. You don’t need to take your dog to a dog park to socialize them.

That's why dog parks are horrible. You never know what's going on with someone else's dog or what diseases that dog could spread to your dog, or if that dog is properly cared for. Hence dog attacks

I can tell you from owning American Bulldogs for 17+ years, never, ever take them to the dog park if they are uncut males. They do not tolerate larger dogs that bully. As a matter of fact, I don’t recommend dog parks at all based on disease, owner experience, and the potential for dominant / unstable dogs. Keep your AB’s safe and out of trouble. They are nothing to fool with.

How about the broad petting the dog that is actively chewing on another dog. Wtf was that. She should not have a dog

Great to have a dog park but too many dogs in the same place can lead to conflicts between them.

Even in dog parks dogs should be on leaches. This is why dog parks are a big no no. People who frequent these parks are irresponsible dog owners. They bring their unsocialized dogs to parks . Definitely a death warrant for unlucky dogs. You notice how it's a joke to them that the pit had blood all over it's face. I personally will not take my pup to a dog park.

?? When the guy petted the Husky and asked the owner if he brushed a lot, I was stunned to hear the owner say NO, just vaccuum a lot. (I am calling b**llshit on that reply, as any Husky owner knows that you always have to brush a lot.

Grab the dog by its collar and twist it will get the dog off faster cause it can't breathe. It's why some parks don't allow unfixed dogs in.

The bulldog was 25% of that problem, the bulldogs owners were 75% of the problem.. Too much dog & owners with little or no knowledge of how to control it.. The best & only really effective way of separating a dog with a grip on another dog is to restrict its air supply by pulling up on it's collar.. Or if it's a pit ( break sticks) you do not pet, pat, or stroke your dog whilst its fighting another dog that in many, many cases encourages the aggression.. & owners & trainers of protection dogs stroke & pet the dogs whilst biting a sleeve or suit to encourage the dogs behaviour..

I had 2 American Bulldogs, one was great at the dog park, the other one got attacked 3x at the dog park. He had a 🎯 on him. Bulldogs as a whole can be bossy and I noticed the old English Bulldog there broke up a tussle between 2 dogs. They rarely cause much damage. I'm done with parks myself, because people don't watch/deal wirh their own dog's behavior. Enjoy watching your channel though ❤🥰

Ps. Mine got the worst of tussles, it's like they think they're the boss on behavior and feel the need to put others in line. He's not a bad dog, just needs to be watched over more carefully. ❤

First off, everybody not involved needed to get off their lazy asses and secure your dogs. Next, you pull straight up on the collar of the dog that is latched on the other. It cuts off the airway and the choke makes them release. A hand held taser is good thing to carry at the dog park.
