I've seen *toddlers* at my local dog park, on the large dog side. Every person there (other than their guardian) was on high alert, which I'm sure the dogs sensed as well. To make it worse, the toddler sat down and began scooping up the mulch and playing like she was making sand castles.

That big lab mix is WAY too much as well and isn’t reading other dogs signals that they have had enough. Owners really need to check their dogs and time them out to level out over excitement and over stimulation

The dog is not aggressive but she is pushy and bossy which needs to be corrected. An aggressive dog will lunge and puncture bite its victim and not let go. She needs to be socialized under different conditions (meaning not in a dog park with paranoid people who think rough playing is a sign of dog fighting) and with an assertive person that will correct her pushiness. She looks young and has so much pent up energy and some dogs don't like to be approached like that, however, we need dogs to correct each other as they learn better, again under close supervision.

my thoughts exactly, she's not aggressive but just has some pushy behavior that can be easily corrected. Also probably needs to be played with 30 minutes prior to getting to dog park. Dog park is for socialization and play but to throw such a high energy dog into a high energy place is risky. Lots of factors that you can't control but you can at least bring your dog's energy level down a bit prior to socializing with other dogs.

@@1992pv ^ -- I definitely have to do that with one of my Huskies, he is young and very playful, and sometimes he can play very rough, especially if they are dogs smaller than him, =') but I don't take him to dog parks unless there are very few people or no one at all, it's not that I don't trust him, but from other people's perspective, he may seem... apart from the fact that he is very tall for his age (he is not a purebred Siberian husky). He is somewhat intimidating (or that's what he looks like on the outside); therefore, people usually avoid him before getting to know him.

The owner was definitely annoying and lacking knowledge, but his dog was socialised. It just got over stimulated. Had it had a collar or harness on, the owner could have just given it a time out and it’d been fine.

Dogs communicate between each other when they want to play, when both agree play commences. This Dobie does not communicate, she will bowl over a dog that is in play with another dog and the bowled over dog thinks they are being attacked. She doesn't bite the dogs she attacks just brings up their defenses from the sudden attack. The video doesn't capture all the issues as the dog park is pretty large. She would be a great dog if the owner would do his duty.

@@dzonevideo5785 That dog is in her early years of socialization. She just needs to be corrected. The owner could play with the dog for 30 minutes prior to bringing her into the dog park so her energy level isn't so high. Easier to socialize a dog that isn't so wound up with energy. Doberman is definitely not for his age.

@bar4804 Жыл бұрын
@@MrRaven2 What?? Sounds like you are afraid and over protective. Dogs like to play rough. It's on us to read body language and separate when they get tunnel vision and too excited. I'm sorry yours was attacked, but you can't expect every owner and dog to not play rough when that's perfectly fine. Your dog may not like rough play, it's your choice to bring it to a dog park with dogs that can and like to play rough. Some dogs play rough together and are perfectly happy and their energy level is matched. You're the kind of person who would freak out if a big dog even approached yours at the dog park. Deep breaths, your dog will be fine. FYI, I dont go to dog parks anymore purely because of owners and dogs like yours who feel they need to not interact or play with anything *at a dog park of all places* and get upset at the slightest physical interaction. Too many Park Police owners who can't even look at the dog's body language or understand aggression versus play. If you want to be by yourself off-leash and not worry about other dogs, find somewhere else. And don't come with the Socialization aspect, dogs are dogs and dogs will play rough. This has nothing to do with what you expect the other owner's dog's training and temperament should be. If it's controlled and monitored there is literally nothing wrong with dogs playing rough. Owners like you have ridiculous standards and impose how you think dogs should behave on everyone else (in public and online). I wonder exactly how well-trained your dog is? As an owner of a very well-trained and socialized German Shepherd who likes to play rough with dogs his size and temperament, you are clueless. If you want a robot, get a robot. Dogs will be dogs, we can only control them through training, but their instinct is there and to deny them that (within legal reasons obviously) is cruel in itself. The dog park is one of the very few places where they have the opportunity to play freely with other dogs. Again, I'm against going to the dog park, but it's mostly because of owners like yourself and the randomness of dogs temperaments may not match with yours. It's your choice to go there.

The tail is to help balance and for quick turns. Pretty sure dogs are smart enough to not sit right on their tails. At least with the ones I've trained. Harness? Needs a collar.

There are almost always issues when you get huskies in the park. They come on way to strong and pushy. I know, as I have had several during my life time. Good dogs, just not the best in a park.

Looks like the dogs were just playing to me. But the old owner does looks like a loser. That's why David Letterman had "Stupid Human Tricks" on his show. Looks like everyone at this dog park could be participants on that show.

from what I saw the girls Dobie with the collar at 22:55 was engaging in tough play with the lab biting and nipping, sure it was playful but its rough play, the old mans Dobie saw this and engaged in the same rough play the other Dobie was doing, only the girls Dobie with the collar didn't like it (basically a power move, I can do it to you but you can't do it to me) If the old man trained his Dobie to have a better recall it would have de-escalated the situation, but the Dobie wasn't being aggressive. At 23:34 the old mans Dobie got checked by the other dog because it was too high energy and didn't want to rough play with the Dobie. The other difference is the girls Dobie didn't do it, if her Dobie checked the other one I'm sure the outcome would have been the same.

The girls Dobe and the lab are best pals and play together all the time. They play rough but are both good with it. They also play rough with other dogs, The man’s dobe doesn’t ever communicate it wants to play , she just bowls everyone over and gets checked or scares the other dogs. She doesn’t play by the dogs rules.

@@dzonevideo5785 well i don' think a dog is gonna be like "Those two are friends I can't play with them" they just recognize high energy and if its a high energy dog they are most likely gonna join in, maybe that's how she likes to play not all dogs play the same, and that's why the other dog checked her, if the mans Dobie really wanted to fight there would have been a fight considering how bad his recall is for the dog, in other videos i've seen regarding dominate dogs they always hover over the dog they are trying to assert their dominance over and have very tense body language, this dog has her mouth open, hackles down, and ears in a relaxed position

A black and tan. And a red and rust. So far have only seen high energy play. Shouldn’t have those kids wrestling and hollering. Dogs can run them over for one. And some dogs are very protective of children even if they’re not their people. Are there three dobes there? That one black one that neither cropped or docked. Sure looks like one. Oops I see another black and tan without cropped ears.

Thats sad. Its not the dogs fould ,People Who dont want to put the everd in should have a dog. And if you get a dog, get a dog that fits youre personality dont get a dog just for its looks.

Just leave the dog park and never come back. Your dog was bullying another dog, IN FRONT OF YOU and you dont correct it? If you cant even understand simple body language leave. And once youre more mature, come back.

First of all, children do not belong in a dog park. That’s a big no. Some dogs see them as prey when running.

Donermans are usually dominant and need a strong owner to correct them. In England , ear and tail docking are banned, so I've never seen a doberman with sliced up ears. We also don't do declawing on cats. I much prefer them natural.
