In this video, i show you how to install molds, how long it takes to melt 95lbs of lead, using the casting machine for the 1st time and how many bullets in 1 hour that I cast for my 1st session. Then you get my overall initial thoughts on the machine.

Ted, man, I honored again that you stopped by to sneek a peek. Hope you enjoyed it. Ahhhhh, nothing like fatherhood, watching the little ones tear shit up. These are the things OUR parents love to see because it gives them a reason to keep pointing out how your kids act just like you did when you where their age.......lol. Thanks bro, take care of yourself and the family. See you on the next one

A note: The twist locks plugs come in 20 amp and 30 amp, three prong and 4 prong. The 20 amp and 30 amp have diameter are also different, So as Tofazsou is saying is very important. Also comfirm your wire size as many home use 15 amp wiring so just change a plug may not be the correct. MAKE sure your wiring is rate at or above the equipment maximum amp range.

This machine is pretty impressive. I'm curious how consistent the bullet sizes are from mold to mold. Does it not matter much since you do a sizing operation after? Great info and concise presentation. Thank you for publishing this.

Dan, around $6500. They way i see cost like this is, this is 6500 for the life of the machine and not an expense i'd be paying every 5 years. And if you buy and sell bullets, well, it doesn't sound like so much any longer.

Will the auto sizer get rid of the shark fins from the over flow? Look like "Dirty Red's" bullet store is up and running :)
@Tofazfou
@Tofazfou 3 жыл бұрын
No sir, the sizer won't be rid of ALL the shark fin because the sizer only sizes the driving bands and not the nose. The fins go down the entire length of the bullet. Finned bullets always go back in the pot. GOOD QUESTION Bro! You always ask good 1's

with a lee 6 cavity mold you can cast easy 500 in a hour , and you take another caliber mould and your ready to go
@Tofazfou
@Tofazfou 3 жыл бұрын
Yes sir, hand casting isn't a slouch. But, the one thing I didn't mention in the video is that with practice, this machines makes up to 2000/hr. I actually made adjustments during the filming while my 1 hr clock was running. So, there were more than 1010 bullets that could have been made in this 1 hr. While hand casting will yield great results, its no match in speed/quatity to this machine

Is there a specific Lead that you use, or is all Lead the same?
@Tofazfou
@Tofazfou 3 жыл бұрын
I normally use 1% Tin mix. That means, for every 20 lbs of PURE LEAD, I mix in 3.62 ounces of PURE TIN! You can also double that to 2% or, 7.2 ounces of Tin. I will give you the very short answer to your question. No, not all lead mixtures are the same and they are INFINITE. You see, pure lead is PURE LEAD. But, once you mix in the slightest bit of alloy, its no longer PURE LEAD. And also, when you mix, lead gets harder and harder depending on the alloy mixed with it. To fully understand, i suggest googling casting bullets which has an infinite amount of information on the topic. It is a science and art and you are forever learning

Nice machine👍 , but 7000 $ for a hand operated casting machine, in my opinion,..... is much too expensive. What do you think, what your shoulder/arm says after 2h casting. If i would spend so much money, the machine should work automated, and i am only for control in the near.

I do not understand the rush people have, 1000 bullets in an hour is more than enough for a domestic machine, they are made much more comfortably and cleanly than with hand molds, I have a single mold machine and I make 800-900 bullets in two hours and I have for a month. The machine is expensive, but it seems strong, durable and with very little sophistication, the forks I think are more durable than the original ballistic.

I'm pretty sure he bought the set up used, and also the expense may be worth it to him, considering how much he shoots. He's casting slugs for 3 different calibers at the same time. At the end of the day, it's a set up that works for him and his situation.

YEP, its not for everyone just like ROlls Royces aren't affordable to everyone (not me either). But this video is also about my adventures with airguns and casting is a big part of it. I still hand cast too. I have all my HP molds that can't be used in this machine (lol, not yet). So trust me, hand casting is not lost or forgotten. This is just the next level to my casting journey
