Dimash had an opportunity to sign with several recording companies here in the States. He declined because he did not want anyone telling him what to sing when to sing, and governing his artistic abilities. Plus, he is very aware that music is a business. So he returned to Kazakhstan and created the Dimashali Creative Center, where he was able to do digital performances to be seen worldwide. This was shortly after the Covid shutdown. He did, however, have a concert in Brooklyn, New York at the Barclay Center in 2019. There were "Dears" from 47 States and 54 countries. He is very intelligent and is on top of his own work. His father is his manager and they make decisions together. There is a series of short videos, 12 in all, entitled "The Ultimate Dimash Guide". Dimash has an almost boyish sense of humour, plays jokes and when he is in concert, will chat to the audience. There is lots of you tube footage of this. When women call out “we love you Dimash” in the middle of a song, he sometimes collapses with laughter and has to compose himself to carry on. He is an all round lovely person, humble and loving. Still lives with his parents and grandparents when he is in Kazakhstan.

No one including him ! expected him to get that far, him saying hed make it about halfway through the field eliminations and leave for grad school. His Mom, Miss Sveta put out an Emergency ! with family, friends and neighbors. He was 6'3" and skinny ! Impossible to fit. The big Major Clothing Hunt And Worldwide Expedition began ha ! One end of Kazakhstan to the other, clothes, shoes, belts accessories were flying everywhere, things overnighted back and forth and my Mom calling friends in New York and LA saying Good Grief ! Next we'll be settling up looms and weaving his clothes he better like this hat ! and looking at each other we roared ! 👋🤣 He ran it all the way to the end, snowballing viewers into the hundreds of millions ! Broke all viewership records in the country and lost in the final round to a Chinese ? Girl. But he won the hearts of a nation. He already had ours.

He actually has a great sense of humor and is known for always telling jokes (which is really funny when he tells them in Kazakh to people in other countries, and then he's the only one laughing at himself lol). He's really a sweet and fun-loving guy, he ADORES kids, he honors his elders... He really is, as he puts it, "a normal Kazakh guy".

This one never fails to give me goosebumps! Amazing!!! Dimash has actually been in LA for most of last year writing & recording there. He works with several producers all over the world, and has had meetings with recording companies, but has decided (rightly) to do it his way. He says he has a 'flaw' in his personality that couldn't have someone telling him what to sing, what to wear etc. He says he sings what his heart tells him to sing & i love that! Also, a record company wants to control a singer's artistic rights, which Dimash doesn't want or need to be fair. Lots of people say they haven't heard of him, but he has a worldwide fan base just by doing it his way. His Almaty concert in Kazakhstan in 2022 sold out in no time at all across more than 68 countries & the audience was over 40,000 people, so hes doing just fine! I'm glad he is doing it this way as a record company would want yo mainstream him i would hate to see him pigeonheld to one genre of music when he is more than capable of performing all genres!
