In The Story Of One Sky he composed and sang the whole soundtrack himself. The video shows once again that Dimash is an absolute genius. In composing, in singing but also as an actor and as a storyteller. The powerful message conveyed by this video is more relevant today than ever. I think this video is mostly about the message. This message however, is for the first time more important than his vocal abilities. His voice is just the tool in this video. But simply unbelievable. His singing is indescribable and I don’t have the words to express it adequately. But it is only the mediator of what this video is about. This is so heartbreaking and sad and an awesome masterpiece. Pure goosebumps. You probably have to see it more than once to understand it. He worked on this composition for three years and also wrote the screenplay. The premiere was on September 24, 2022. As some have mentioned, this video should be seen by many people. It may be very brutal for some. But let’s not forget that for many, including children, this is everyday life in some countries. And Dimash relentlessly shows us how ugly war is. OMG he is such a phenomenal actor. Dimash was the little boy who was drowning in the beginning and he gave the necklace to his childhood friend (and future leader) and the girl. The girl on the beach was his future wife. She was pregnant and in the end of the video she gave birth to her and Dimashs' (character) second child. The littel girl who was shot was Dimashs and her first daughter. When he came home and saw his daughter dead on the ground, he had to assume that his wife and unborn child were also killed. Desperation and maybe revenge has led him to kill his former friend. When I first saw the video, I was shocked. I didn't think he was going to shoot his friend. But in the end that all made sense. Dimash wanted to show what revenge can do. Violence always breeds violence, and because of this, not only is the leader dead, but so is Dimash. It was so heartbreaking to see Dimash drown at the end. Dimash in the last sequence of the video was the baby that was born and now as a grown man unites people of different nationalities and religions for peace. In this video you can see how the main religions are represented mostly with his voice. The whole world should see this. It is a masterpiece for the peace cause & such a powerful one too. I hope you got the story, though sometimes you need to watch several times to get it! Dimash is the boy who drowned in the beginning & the boy who saved him was his friend. They both loved the girl & Dimash & she married later & had a little girl & were expecting a boy when war broke out. The Dictator (piper) was their childhood friend who took a bad turn in life. Dimash fights in the war & manages to get to his family home when injured & war-weary. His family home was the one where the opposing soldiers broke in & killed everyone, including Dimash's daughter. His wife had been taken somewhere else as she was in labour & about to give birth. (In a lot of Eastern countries, the whole family live in one home together). When Dimash finds his daughter & family all dead, he goes to his old 'friend' to stop him as he has lost everything. His wife died in childbirth, hence why we see the necklace on the baby. The ending, I believe, is the son grown up & continuing the work of his dad, leading the people to freedom, or it could be the spirit of Dimash leading the souls into the light. When I first watched this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching, to say the least! 😢 Have you noticed that Dimash is the main solder right from the very beginning of the war scene, when he was walking under the overpass, also when he was shot in the arm, many people miss that? Dimash has worked very hard for 3 years composing the music for this song, and around 20 days to make this MV. It turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts, not only for this MV, but for trying to bring the world together in love, peace, and harmony and through his many charities. He is a Legend in the making and will go down in History. This is my breakdown of the story, as I see it: This mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, and the necklace which was created by the young Dimash and shared with his friends symbolizing lifelong friendship and unity. The boys both loved the same girl, but she loved Dimash, so the other boy grew resentful over time, started a war, using the symbol of the necklace given to him by his friend Dimash, as the crest on his army uniform. 1) Dimash, was the boy drowning at the beginning and at the end. 2) The Piper, is the one who saved Dimash, became the leader, and was killed by Dimash at the end. 3) The young girl, who died in childbirth, became Dimash’s future wife, had two children together; a daughter who was killed by the Piper's army; and the birth of a son who inherited the necklace from his mother…, they were all affected by the war. “People are the caravan…. Life is the way”: Dimash spoke these words in Kazakh, when he found his daughter dead. For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. This piece is open to interpretation. For me the scenes of different religious and spiritual philosophers walking the difficult journey towards the light signifies the inner journey of Dimash's character. When he finds his family murdered by the soldiers he becomes filled with hatred and revenge. We see the spiritual journey get much harder as the yogis etc battle through the raging storm. At the end all three of those children died prematurely but Dimash's character leads the ongoing journey to the light which has dimmed considerably. Such a deep and meaningful piece. I think one of the most important messages here is about how we bring up our children and guide them through our very difficult human emotions. The boy didn't get the girl, she loved Dimash's character already. This heartbreak festered in the boy, eventually leading him on the wrong path. Bless Dimash for his art, bless him for understanding that all religions and philosophies lead to the light. These are my views on this amazing masterpiece Story of One Sky - The boy who was drowning was (Dimash's character as a child) made the necklaces that were given to the girl who grew up to be (Dimash's pregnant wife) and the boy who saved him who (grew up to be the military leader), possibly out of jealousy. The military leader waged his war The part in the video with the little girl and the people in the hallway were Dimash's family who had been wiped out the little girl whose body he picked up was his daughter, the baby that was born was his son who grew up to be Dimash grown up at the end!!! The Dimash at the end can also be seen as Dimash in the afterlife leading others to the light in peace. Dimash takes his revenge on his former friend. The new baby represented a new innocent life beginning as the father dies. (And he does die) also the mother died in childbirth. The baby grew up to be a leader of men who seek peace. He wore his parents necklace, to always remember. One of the most profound lines in The Story of One Sky is the line "Learn to share the love, Not shares" Not shares meaning stop making money out of war rich people have many shares in companies that profit from weapon manufacturing making them richer while the innocent suffer sadly this is why war exists. Dimash took three years to write this story and compose the music. The story is the three friends on the beach, Dimash was the young boy drowning. The boy who saved him becomes the Dictator. The girl is the woman who is giving birth, to Dimash’s child. The little girl in the hallway picking up the stuffed animal is the daughter of the woman and Dimash. All the men climbing up the mountain are all the representatives of the religious leaders. Dimash finds his daughter deceased, kills the Dictator and is shot by his men. The woman gives birth to Dimash’s son who becomes the man at the end leading all the religious leaders with hope. Dimash is the ambassador of peace for Kazakhstan, he speaks about peace whenever possible. I know this was a little wordy but I hope it helps. ❤❤❤❤

The lyrics of the song and Russian poet Lilia Vinogradova and the video direction by Alina Veripya! This song is a "modern" multicultural interfaith Requiem (the traditional Requiem is a song for the Mass of the Dead in the Catholic Church. The best known requiem is by Mozart I think). The Requiem usually has 2 parts: one mourning death and the other celebrating life. Dimash says in a low voice: Адам керуен, өмір жол. Man is a caravan, life is a road. (Kazakh proverb) So for me, the caravan is his (and our) inner world. Religiosity is in us, the religious man dies when a part of the soldier (Dimash) dies when he finds his daughter dead. So when he seeks revenge, there's a storm. Death follows death: Piper dies but the soldier (Dimash) dies too. Death is not the answer. And so violence is not the way (You can murder the "bad guy" but if everybody thinks that violence is an answer, another "bad guy" will appear for sure.) War here is a means of expressing the contrast of what happens when we lose love for one another. It is about the call to unite, to stop dividing each other along national, social, religious lines in order to preserve life, love, friendship, and the land for our children. Story: The clip is divided into several parts. One day the friend saves the protagonist when he almost drowns. The three children are friends and their common external symbol is the necklace (gnomon). Both boys are in love with the girl. But she chooses “Dimash”. The other boy feels hurt. Be sure to watch the legendary live version: Almaty concert part 3 (from minute 25 beginning with his spoken prologue). Can be found on Dimash's official channel. For me, the mesmerizing passion at the end even surpasses the music video version. One can pay much more attention to the fundamental and universal message. In the video, the depiction of the individual fate distracted me a bit. I love this vocalization part where he refers to the liturgical chants of the major world religions: The muslim call to prayer, the sacred OM sound of Buddhism and Hinduism, the jewish shofar and the bells and chants of Christianity.
