It's a shame with the way inflation is, all these reward programs are having to remove benefits as they can't increase prices. A great breakdown on these AMEX cards and it looks like there are some great ways to earn points still.

I got the Hilton surpass card back in January, I don't travel ALOT but plan on staying at Hilton properties when I do. I have been buying 50.00 gift cards to get the 200.00 credit. Never used priority pass before so losing it wasn't a big deal for me.

The $200 million (or was it just 200 cause million seems a lot) credit seems like a great benefit. I dont travel often but i would like to travel every now and then.

Mom's got the Hilton AMEX. We've gotten quite a few free stays over the years off that. Great informational video. I've always wondered how they came up with the points system. Also I heard the current Administration under Biden is looking into axing points systems. Suffice it to say mom is not happy.

Yeah I hope that doesn’t make it through the government. I feel there are bigger issues the government needs to deal with instead of our travel credit cards. But that is a discussion for another day 🤣.

I feel like the US has way better options for credit cards for travel. This is very informative, I typically just stay with whatever hotel is in the best area, cheapest, and looks nicest lol. So I'm not loyal to any brand - maybe I should be to get more points!

It really all depends! Getting the cheapest is great while having a card allows you to get points to have free stays. So it’s all about your preferred strategy!
