The way they spread the toppings out as evenly as possible shows who ever is making those sandwiches takes pride in their work. A good sandwich has a nice mouthful of ingredients every bite. Good job.

I used to work in a deli, but didn’t know what mortadella was. A lady came in and ordered it, but I thought she was saying mozzarella, so that’s what I gave her. How embarrassing!

I live right across the river from Philly, and I always tell everybody this: If you're going to do one thing in Philly, go to Reading Terminal Market. If you're going to do two things, go to Reading Terminal Market and listen to the Wanamaker Organ.

Machine slicing the lettuce, tomatoes and onions, those are details that sandwich shops around the world should consider. It makes a lot of difference.

I like how you filmed them making everything from the opening hours. The Five Guys video was way too limited since they keep the source of their ingredients secret. I live in Hero country (NYC/Long Island) where boars head meats and cheeses reigns supreme. But they are nothing without the top notch Italian long roll

Dietz and Watson is a major competitor but more common near Philly. We have some shops here in NJ that use it too. Most use boars head though

The man prepping with the slicer had me nervous slicing the onions then the tomatoes. His fingertips of his left hand were a bit too close to the blade during the catch 😳. Don’t try that at home anybody.
