Yeah. Good decision. I’m still livid about Brexit. But also I know that there are still people on the other side that still think it’s a good idea. Thankfully majority of them are old, and therefore we only have to put up with this mess for so long (if only the votes of working age people were counted, the U.K. would have never Brexited and would have a completely different government now). Definitely steer clear.

@malsimons Wow! You just insulted many generations that are so much wiser than you, possibly when you are their age, that thing called hindsight might come and say Ello! I'm working age, my vote clearly was counted, because we won. If we had lost, none of those would even be a discussion... it would be accepted. Anything remainers can blame on brexit. They do. Sore losers are comical for about a minute... then it just becomes uncomfortable and quite frankly embarrassing to watch grown-ups unravel and behave like a 5 year old child for having to follow the rules of a vote and learning how to deal with not winning it! Grow up!

Just a note about the Queen's (sic) Guard: If you're mucking around and salute them and they don't salute back, they're not being grumpy. In the UK, the armed forces salute the uniform, not the person. And if you happen to be a foreign soldier in uniform, they're still not obliged to salute you, regardless of rank. If they do, it's purely a courtesy

Loved the video, apologies for being a bit behind on your vids but i'll get to those eventually i promise. the red light in the uk just means stop. everyone needs to stop the vehicle by the give way line on the road at that point as long as it is safe to do so and not within your breaking distance of said car or truck etc because the people behind you maybe too close to also make an emergency stop. there is some light poles which have filter lights which give an option but there mor of the exception than the rule. the queens guard is also known as the coldstream guard, the hat they wear is called a bearskin, or was (it trditionally was made from bearskin but these days its faux fur). they are trained soldiers and because of their static position and marching to guard locations they are often seen as a curiosity or mocked. as for the brexit, ANYONE can have an opinion on brexit because its international news, the same thing as anyone can have an opinion on trumps wall. it would be frowned upon if it was soley an internal affair and not in the news but as it stands you reacted to a video that was online and therefore anyone can have an opinion. nothing to apologise for. lovin the videos man i'll see you on discord (Northern art)

Hi James, a short video by a driving instructor from Liverpool, his accent isn't strong so you should be able to understand him without difficulty, this is from a visit to the US last year so up to date and there is a very short addition from a similar situation in the UK, but turning on a red light is not allowed in the UK, take care :)

James, the only piece of advice that I can give to any American is that they shouldn't expect things here in the U.K. to be exactly the same as in the U.S.A. and most definitely not to listen to any of the Hollyweird depictions of us Brits or our country. The best way for anyone to enjoy our country is to arrive here with an open mind and then just go wherever you please. To be honest with you I can't stand London and never want to visit there again - I've only ever visited there twice throughout my life and couldn't wait to get out of there on both occasions. Everything is overpriced not just for tourists but also for the locals and while this might make me sound like a skinflint those of us who live outside of that city get exactly the same items as they do but at a fraction of the price that they're expected to pay. Hopefully if you and your family come to visit you'll discover that the people throughout the rest of the U.K. are a lot friendlier and more outgoing than they are in the capital. Being the mind-reader that I tend to be you'll discover for yourself that despite us living in such a small country we have a lot of countryside and history for you to discover and enjoy. Regarding what you said at the end of this piece of yours you're exactly right when it comes to the Royal guards - they should all be respected and not thought of as being there as entertainers for any of us to ridicule or ignore. I have to be honest with you but I get embarrassed when I see so many tourists mocking them simply because they're doing their jobs - it just shows a lack of respect towards them and they'd be well within their rights to get annoyed with anyone who disrespects them and treat them accordingly, wouldn't they?

I'm Scottish but like most Scots if a tourist especially from the states said English we would 99% of the time just say no Scottish without any offence being taken. Most Europeans understand that USA is so large that a majority of Americans don't really travel outside of it and therefore only really hear UK or England and London. The Scottish and English thing is really mire if a banter thing. There will be some who are totally anti the other. Most families are like mine. I have English aunts and uncles and cousins as well as Irish, Canadian and Australian. I hope you get the chance to visit the UK. @@SimplySavageReactions Item 8 in the video mentioned the British or Scottish accent, but there's no such thing as "the British accent" -- all accents used by people born and bred here are automatically British and there are dozens of different ones. The accent typically referred to as "British" in the US would be called Received Pronunciation or RP here. It is standard among educated people from London and the Home Counties (those counties that surround London), and for newsreaders, trained actors and the like, and it might be encountered among cultivated people anywhere in the country, but each locality has its own distinctive accent too.
