The "war" began in 2014 Dear. Given the fact that DQ had both Russian & Ukrainian team members whom he loves, it was quite painful for him and them, especially when the Ukrainian team member had go home to her family and friends under attack as the invasion began. You can watch videos of the speeches he gave before singing War & Peace in Dubai this year as well as Dusseldorf and Prague. Watch the one in Dubai where he's very angry, deeply saddened and frustrated that a couple of adults can have unresolved conflicts that negatively impact the world and if one of them is crazy enough, they can decide to start a war that maims, orphans & murders children & their mothers. He asked the audience what's wrong with this world that this can be a reality in the 21st century? I'd like to know also. He doesn't blame Russians. He loves Russians AND Ukrainians!
