I know it couldn't be more off topic...but as a dane I have to apologise for the idiots that trashed Prague. I been to the Czech Republic 5 times in my life and its such a beautiful country. First time I was in Prague I got lost from my mom on that famous bridge, I forgot its name. It took us hours to find each others again. To be fair I was the kind of kid you should have on a leash, I always escaped and went on my own journeys. I once bit a woman in Munich because she thought a 5 year old shouldn't walk around alone, she was rigth I escaped my mom in the metro. And when I was 4 I created a huge panick in a hotel in Portugal, I found a way to the roof and sat on the edge on a 5th floor building calling my parents who was in a panick looking for me. I miss being a child.

I wouldnt go to karštejn (worthless) .. if you want to see really nice medieval castles go to Pernštejn or Rožmberk. But I would prefer to go to chateaus like Hluboká or Lednice. The best cities to see are Karlovy Vary, Olomouc and Český Krumlov. From nature you can visit Pravčická Brána or Prachovské skály. and If you are in Prague the jewish synagogues are A MUST SEE - especially Spanish and Jerusalem synagogues. But there is just way more things to see than these main 4 spots which every tourguide offers (prague, kutná hora, karlovy vary and český krumlov). And I have to agree that Konopiště is also good, it is on my top 4 czech castles/chateaus (Hluboká, Krumlov, Konopiště, Lednice), but foreigners usually go just to Krumlov which is pitty.

I recommend south Moravian region in czechia called Pálava it's literally like Italy 😅

Not just town centers. Anything declared heritage object gets such restrictions. Not always positive (depends on people as usual)

@@daweka666 I do not think it will. Henry and sir Hans Capon are going to visit Otto III. of Bergau (Ota III z Bergova) at the end of the game. At the time he held two important castles among other holdings. Zbiroh which is due west from Sassau and Trosky which is due north. Henry and Hans are leaving the map in the northeast so most likely they are heading for Trosky (they were already in the east of the map to start with). Český Krumlov is in the south of Bohemia - south of Sassau. To raise your spirits a bit: 1) there are legends about castle Trosky - there are hidden treasures beneath it, gates of hell or gateways to other dimensions; 2) there actually are underground corridors below the castle forming a maze/labyrinth, nowadays it is largely collapsed and blocked; 3) according to another legend two main towers of the castle (Crone/Hag and Maiden) were later named after two female members of the Bergau family who were religious opposers, catholic and chalicist (pretty much hussite); 4) Even Andrzej Sapkowski used the castle in one of his books of the "Hussite Trilogy"; 5) it is very close to area called Bohemian Paradise which has really beautiful places. Check with google: Emperor's corridor, Pravčická Archway. Edit: Yeah, they are going to Trosky. Radzig Kobyla even says Bergau is in the Trosky castle.

@@daweka666 Ok, sorry. Jsem nepoznal souseda. Pokud navážou okamžitě s dějem, tak by mě zajímalo, jak to vymyslí s dalším růstem Jindry. Respektive ten můj byl namaxovanej řízek, takže jak to udělat znovu těžký bez toho, že by se zrušil jeho předchozí růst. Možná by se konečně mohl naučit plavat. 😀 Akorát zase by museli řešit topení ve zbroji. Kdyby tam byl časovej skok, tak by i mohl trochu něco zapomenout - ne úplně, ale částečně. Anebo by tam mohla být nová navazující postava - plod Jindrovo eskapád.

It's extremelly overcrowded in summer though. And being in cottage near river and constantly hearing drunks on boats isn't the best.

@@fanta4897 you have to wake up sooner, ofcourse it's overcrowded when you leave camp in like 11 AM 😀 We did this route around Krumlov few years ago and we were "lucky" that we got rain and storms for like 2 days, so you didn't know if there is more water under your ship or above your ship 😀 I still don't understand how could I survive that without beying sick for 1 week 😀

@@Pidalin I don't have a problem with overcrowding in the sense that there would be too many people for me to go in a canoe (simply because I wasn't in canoe on Vltava for the past 16 years or so). I have a problem with overcrowding because as I said, I'm sometimes in a cottage nearby. I'm there all day which means that I have a problem with overcrowding in the sense that I hear almost constantly some noise from people on the river.

@@fanta4897 Yeah, that must be annoying, we have summer cabin few hundred meters from Sázava river and sometimes you can still here drunken canoists yelling and beating with paddles to boats or something. Honestly, I don't like this alco river riding culture, it's annoying and dangerous. When we were ridng Vltava, most of those camps were really annoying with really annoying people. There was a group of scauts from Belgium and they wanted to sleep and we had to explain to them that make noise whole night is just our culture and we can't do anything with that, they just need to use ear plugs. 😀

I don't know I'm Czech and I consider our language as not souding well and hard AF for non-Europeans. Maybe it doesn't sound so hard and harsh like German/Russian. Polish is like 50/50 mix of Czech and Russian languages. I would like to know how soft and lovely my accent is :)

I don't really find that to be true. We have probably harshest sounding language from the Slavic types. All other use a lot of žšč [zh, sh, ch], etc. we not really. Make it is the accent, which makes you think otherwise and yeah, Russians is further away from standard American way of saying things. We have more neutral one. But anyway, not really that important.

@@M1chlos There are harsh sounding consonants, however, the rythmic and tonal delivery of the accent I find really beautiful. ably too young or maybe never went to a Catholic mass before reforms were made in the 1960s. I was a small child then. Spoken Czech reminds me of high mass back when Catholic masses were still in Latin and the entire mass was sung on special occassions. I am from the USA but my father's family was from Bohemia and left in the 1880s so I do tend to romantisize it a bit. But, if you could hear what I hear when I listen to interviews on KZfaq or Czech Radio with English subtitles, I think you might agree. Other languages don't have that rythm and tone.

Helo from Třeboň, Czechia. I stayed there in covid season and it was strange, the town was empty, if you met a person, you could say hello because of so few of them (maby a 10 within 2 hours). It was almost like before revolution again. I was there for a week and some people started to be seen at Friday aftrernoon and in the weekend.

@@drakulkacz6489 Hello from the Far East. I visited CK for 2 nights in 2015 and during the day up till 8pm, there were many people in the centre. The castle interior was very crowded. I also managed to see a performance in the Baroque theatre, and that was full house. However, in the morning 6 to 8am, the streets were almost empty of people. You folks are very fortunate to have such a beautiful country with many lovely towns (and cities), castles and chateaus everywhere.

@@holgerlinke98 "Český" could have to meanings: Bohemian and Czech. Bohemian as the location of Krumlov would be fine. But renaming Krumlau into Czech Krumlov after the war would be odd, since Czechs only made up for one quarter before the Germans three quarters of the towns population were expelled.

Rothenburg has medieval layout, but was also bombed during WW2. If you look closely you can see many houses are rebuilts / reconstructions and are not as detailed or crooked as original medieval and renaissance houses.
