There are a couple of reasons why he is not in prison. Biden appointed an attorney general (chief law-enforcement officer) who did nothing about Trump's crimes for two years. He eventually handed the responsibility for prosecuting Trump to a special appointee who started the prosecution so late that there was a limited chance of bringing the case to court before the election. There is lots of evidence that Biden wanted Trump free to run again for president because Biden thought Trump would be easier to defeat than a more competent Republican. Then, you have to understand that the US judicial system is highly politicized, and that the Republican Party (Trump's party) has chosen to use various legal maneuvers to put loyal judges in place in many or most US courts, especially including the Supreme Court. The Democratic Party has mostly refrained from such maneuvers, and has generally taken the position that judges should be chosen for competence and impartiality rather than party loyalty. Hence, their appointees render fair decisions but are outnumbered by Republican partisan judges. Our courts generally no longer uphold the rule of law but instead defend Republican power and, whenever necessary, Trump. Another important part of the explanation is that there are a lot of very powerful and extremely wealthy Americans who want Trump in office because they think he will advance their interests. These people have power over the Republican Party through financial contributions and, in a number of documented cases, they have showered certain members of the Supreme Court with expensive favors. Basically, our system is profoundly corrupt.

Hey Ryan. In case you read the comments, in case you see this one, I have a question about you. You seem to be an open minded person. Have you always been open minded and that's why you're curious about Germany and other countries or did you become open minded (or _more_ open minded) after you started to watch videos about how it's like outside of your country? I'm curious because there are quite a few Americans who are convinced that the USA is the best and they won't waste their time looking at what other countries do.

@@AlexGys9 I do not argue with your recollection of Ryan's statistics; however, I did notice your crafty way of using propaganda, or what some may describe as witchcraft; i.e., "believe their country is the best" vs. "KNOW it is not". Believe vs. know. I myself am an American living in Hungary and know that the U.S. has been subverted into a Communistic hell-hole by "we know who," the nation-wreckers. So my argument isn't against your beliefs, per se, but against your childish attempt of mind-control. Are you German? If a German is going to employ mind-control to persuade people about something, I expect a better effort than that.

Here in Lower Saxony we had actually recently in our History-A-Levels (Geschichtsabitur) the task to compare the situation right now in the us, to the society of the republic of weimar (1918-1933). (I didn't do that Task, because I had more knowledge about the other Task with china, but) if you look over there, it's frightening. It's not similar, but it's also a deeply unstable society, which seems to lean away from democracy, because the system got so dysfunctional and didn't enough represent the will of the people. So they got attracted to the populists, which tell them seemingly simple solutions and radicalize them to bind them. Also Propaganda-TV-channels like Fox News (and other right-wing extremistic media) tell them "alternative facts" (aka lies) and manipulate them. We have that populists here to, but they are not that big as the republicans and have to fight against Resistance: As the AfD (rightwing-extremist party) had a disgusting conference there they planned mass-deportations of Foreigners (even people which are here since generations) and disabling of public funded media (like the PiS-Party in Poland, which had turned the publicly funded media in a PiS-Party-Propaganda-broadcast (luckily the poles have voted them recently into opposition)), it was a massive scandal, which provoced huge demonstrations against them and now these little sh*tholes have to fear a party ban (hopefully). I was shocked as I read that donald trump sayed similar things about deportation of immigrants and nobody seemed to care. What he now says, with "immigrants are vermin and pollute the American blood" (I don't know exactly the quote in english), is so disgustingly near to the language here in Germany after 1933. (But that's my view from the outside, I don't know how you experience all that living in the us)

I love the way Christian Ehring is expressing himself while he doesn't even crack a small smile 🤣 And Max Giermann is one of the best (ONE of the best for all the people who will feel mostly likely offended by it) Comedian in Germany. My question is: how is it impossible someone going for President (again) without a fair amount of people are interested in him becoming President? Does that mean enough Americans lost their mind? That's something I can't wrap my head around. Donald Trump is perceived in Germany as a dangerous clown🤡. The first presidency can still be debited as an accident of history or the American electoral law, which has nothing to do with democracy, if even the one who had the highest share of votes can lose. A second presidency would tear the USA apart and Europe at the same time. That can't stand comedy anymore.

So here are germans commenting to a video of an american commenting to a video of a german TV show commenting to an american draft dodger whose german grandfather fled to America to dodge the german draft. And they were not very innovative regarding names Friedrich Drumpf renamed himself to Frederick Trump, (the german Trumpf=Trump in english), he called his son Fred, Donald called his son Donald. Will Barron call his son Barron - or move back to Germany and call him Baron? Wobei, hier in Deutschland bekäme man Probleme, when man Hausen heißt und dann seinem Sohn 3 Vornamen gibt: Baron, Von und Münch

The "funny" thing is: it wouldn't surprise me at all! I mean, he said Obama was the actual president, repeatedly mistook one US city for another etc. Both Trump and Biden are prime examples that people that are to old to work normal jobs shouldn't be allowed to do politics any longer. Unfortunately there isn't any "Rentenalter" for politicians anywhere in the world.
