The "strong girl" lifting the horse is Pippi Langstrumpf. She is basically one of the most famous characters of the children story "Pippi Langstrumpf" written by Astrid Lindgren, a VERY famous writer here. I even went to Astrid Lindgren Elementary School. It first was a book and then they made a bunch of movies, which I watched and loved so much as a kid. It's something almost every german knows. Basically, Pippi Langstrumpf is a nine-year-old overly confident girl who's lived alone in a huge house ever since her father left. She lived there with her horse, Kleiner Onkel (Little Uncle) and pet monkey, Herr Nielson (Mister Nielson). That's basically all the friends she has until one day the two neighbors kids come over and they become friends. It's really sweet and beautiful for kids because the way she lives is exactly the way every child dreams to live. She bakes cake every day, her horse lives in the house, she climbs around the stairs, has lots and lots of money to buy every kind of candy she wants and constantly invents weird things like flying beds or so. It's pretty old, it's literally the same age as my mom. The movies were made in 1969 so it's obviously a pretty different time period but it is made with a lot of love and if you find a video with english subtitles, maybe worth a reaction.

Miniature wonderland is located on several floors in several buildings connected by a bridge.. It's fantastic, even if you are not interested in trains. Everywhere something is happening and sometimes kids wouldn't understand what's going on there.. 😉

The Miniatur Wunderland is quite unique in the world. It really is overwhelming visiting for the first time. You need at least 3 hours to go through and look at everything and (as a person who has worked there myself) we usually reccommend that you go through and just look at the surface level of everything and then decide what you want to look at in detail or you'll quickly be out of time and concentration for looking at all the things. The sound effects in this video aren't real, but there ARE actually sound effects for a lot of things, such as the airport, the festival grounds/concerts, and for example animal noises in the zoo. When you work there it can get REALLY repetitive staying in one place to fix a broken train for example, while all the sounds keep playing depending on where you are, but you just get used to it at some point :D The MiWuLa has been voted germanys #1 tourist attraction for 5 years in a row now and if you ever come to germany I definitely recoommend a visit! Fun Fact: While the cars, planes and trains are running on an automated software and are just monitored by people, they still haven't found a way to fully automate the ships on the real water in scandinavia, so an employee sits in a corner and remote controls the ships all day. It's a great job for students who are using the time to study or listen to audio books while driving the boats.

There's not a photo that captures the entire wonderland. That's not possible 'cause the Miniature Wonderland is to large. It's located in several rooms, on different levels, in two different buildings (of Hamburg's famous old warehouse district) which are connected by a bridge! By the way, the attraction 'The Hamburg Dungeons' are right next to the Wonderland. It shows the varied and dark history of Hamburg in an entertaining and creepy way. Here are some more actual facts about the Miniatur Wunderland since the video is, as mentioned, 11 years old: They rented a 2nd building behind the first warehouse and connected it with a bridge, so today the Miniatur Wunderland has 10.000 m² rental area and the total size of the model area is 1.545 m² with already more than 1 million working hours and 10 finished Areas. Over 16km of tracks with 3517 Railroad switches,1120 locomotives, more than 10450 wagons, the longest model train is 14,51m (47,6 feet). 4340 houses, more than 497000 LEDs, 289000 figures and 137000 trees, 52 airplanes and over 10250 model cars. Today, more than 300 employees work in all areas of Miniatur Wunderland and the costs already amount to 37.2 million euros. The whole facility is controlled by 53 computers.

This is one of the wonders of the world!! I was there allready 19 times, if you are in Hamburg you have to visit it! At the moment they are building Monaco and the houses and so on allready dune, but they don't wanna open it without having in Monaco a Formula 1 Race there, so they are working on it 8 years now and I think they are on a good way to open it, I think in 2 or 3 years. The people there are mad, but in a positiv way!

It got so big over the years, that one day of visit isn't enough anymore. On my next trip back home to Hamburg i'm planning with at least two full days of going there. So much love to detail.

The Miniatur Wunderland is awesome. This January they are doing something they do every january, when you dont have the means to go there, you can still go and just say to the cashier that you dont have the money to pay and they will still let you in, you can even pass them a paper saying that in case you are too embarassed

I was in Germany last summer and visited Miniatur Wunderland with my parents and it really is an amazing experience, the attention to detail is just crazy! It even spans several floors and sections and you can easily spend hours in there just marvelling at the fascinating minuature landscapes, cars boats, trains and planes that move around as if they were the real thing. They even have a locker there where you can charge your cellphone if the battery runs out, which I found to be a very cool feature. I definitely recommend paying Miniatur Wunderland a visit, it's definitely one of the coolest things that you'll remember for a long time! :)

This video is already old. But, it still is impressive. They leased other rooms across the canal, built a bridge with trains crossing from the northern hemisphere to the southern hemisphere. Currently they are in the, more or less, final stages to create South-America. And: No, it can not be photographed in one picture...it is too large, covering several rooms over three floors of two warehouse buildings separated by a canal (called "Fleet" in Hamburg). You need at least two, three days to see and comprehend it all.

They also won a world record. During the Covid lockdown no visitors were allowed into any museum, so they built tracks for a train in the area where else the visitors walk. At the side of the tracks they put glasses filled with water which formed tunes when the train came by. Miniaturwunderland is great. They even placed Details where visitors can not see. Thus you can see stuff that was not even planned to be seen in the behind the scenes tour.

I‘m from Hamburg. I‘ve visit the „Miniatur Wunderland“ a lot. I definitely recommend to go there.

One of my favorites. I work just around the corner and some years ago, we even had our company`s Christmas party in the premises. They opened for us after the public was gone and we had the whole area just for ourselves. It is amazing every time I visit.

If you want an overview of the whole thing I can recommend you the Miniatur Wunderland KZfaq channel. They got an 1 hour drive through basically the whole thing in 360° with a camera mounted on the train. I watched it more than once because you can easily spot new things when changing the perspective and looking around in the little world. Very entertaining and also quite relaxing.

These two brothers that made the MiwuLa become true used to be owners and DJs of a wellknown Diskotheke named "Voila" back in the 80ies and than decided to work on their dream...which finally started in 2001 orsome. Great guys.....

Hello and many greetings from Germany. I live in Hamburg and only 15 minutes away from Miniatur Wunderland and have been there about 10 times. It's really worth a visit because you always discover something new, even after so many visits. It's super impressive. Even America is represented there with Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon and NASA. And the cruise ship that can be seen there really exists. This is the AIDAblu from the German shipping company AIDA Cruises. In addition, there are the largest miniature mountains in the world, the largest miniature airport in the world and much more. It's really super beautiful and I can really recommend it to anyone visiting Germany to go there. Many greetings from Germany.

The newest attraction, they are still working on currently I think, is being part of the miniature world by VR. They mapped all the scenery using multiple POV pictures and merge it with cameras fitted into the trains and ships etc. to have the current visitors on your VR screen while you're traveling within this tiny world. The Miniature Wonderland does actually have more visitors per year than New Swanstein.

Coming from Scandinavia we had a three day stay in Hamburg on our way traveling south Europe. Of course we visited the Miniatur Wunderland and I was immediately in awe. I guess, like me the Wunderland turned 11 back then. Ryan's reaction made me wonder, how they leveled up this project till today. I'm inspired traveling all the 7500 km back to Europe, just to see it. So, thanks for the inspiration.

It's huge. They rented out floors in one of the buildings and when they went out of space they rented space in the building next to it and built a bridge between the buildings. So there's no way to fit everything in one picture.

I was there only once in 2012. And I didn’t see everything cause it was just too big to get it all in one day - even back then. I’m glad it survived the pandemic. It would’ve been a big loss for us all.

Been there in 2014, we had to register for a scheduled entry as there's only a limited amount of visitors allowed in the MiWuLa at once (luckily there's a somewhat macabre museum about medieval/renaissance Hamburg right next to it so we could beat some time there and still had a ton of fun). The place is massive and filled to the brim with countless details, you can probably visit the place a dozen times and still not even scratch the surface. ^^

The Wunderland was enlarged. A metal bridge is connecting the older part and the new one. I was there in February 2022. If you visit Hamburg a stop in Wunderland is obligatory. You can spend a whole day with your family there, if you want. Fast food meals are available at the snack bar. The design is unique there. You have the feeling of sitting in a train wagon. Don't forget to check in.

I have been there every 3-4 years. It is so worth it!!! They have put so much effort in all the little details and it’s always funny to find new jokes in it! It is constantly growing and changing!

I visited the Miniaturwunderland a few times. It's really cool and interesting. However, there is a lot to see. It's kind of sad that you don't have the time to appreciate every little detail. But when you visit the next time, you can see new details! Also, there are some small events as well. They created an "active" volcano, which is really cool.

If you ever travel to Germany, please visit it... you will never forget it. Well, some stories are made, so adults see and understand them while a child just will brush over it... Fun for young and old. ☺️

This is an older video. In the meantime they bought a new building on the other side and build a bridge (Where also trains ride from one to the other side). South america is now finished. They are working now on Patagonia. The formula 1 in Monaco will still need quite of time because of the programming difficulty. The Miniatur Wunderland is in my hometown and I've visited it at least 8 times already because they're always building new worlds and you will never get bored of pushing all the buttons. Last year I went and spent almost 7 hours in there!! Definitely recommend going.

Hey i´m from Germany. i was in the Wonderland 4-5 Times and didn´t see any details. You need Multiple Day´s to see everything. It is so freacking awesome you need to visit it!!!

For real, I was there many times before and it is an absolute masterpiece. It literally deserves the name, I promise you. You also have to be very lucky when buying tickets, because they are very much in demand. I recommend everyone to visit the Miniatur Wunderland once in a lifetime, you won't regret it 1000%. There is so much to marvel at that I couldn't list it all.

I flew over to HAM from the U.S. 5 years ago. It's worth the trip. One fabulous, fun place. A great hobby too.

I had the privilege to go "backstage", the 13km of tracks that can be seen are nothing compared to more than double that (I think) where trains are stored/maintained. I also got to see the Millennium Falcon take of to the Death Star (yes, there is a working screen for arrivals and departures for the airport, it said the Falcons destination was the Death star) and I saw it arriving again from backstage. My personal favourite for some reason is Michael-Angelo painting the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel using a trampoline (probably goes without saying that he actually jumped up and down

The best part about Miniatur Wunderland is the love in it! The people working there, don't just do their job, they love what they do and are very creative as you've seen. I saw a very nice Video series about it three years ago what was very inspiring. I was there in summer 2020, it was very nice! I also made the behind the scenes tour which was very funny and interesting! You can go inside the mountains and they show you good photo spots.

It is real.I've been there with my little sons in 2019.The complex was so big that we were there for 6 hours. We didn't see everything.In the meantime, the complex has been expanded over other buildings. the most mindblowing thing about the miniatur Wunderladn is that they "recently" upgraded to have more space. And the upgrade was an acutal sky bridge between two buildings in Hamburg to connect the 2 venues

This place is absolutly insane and cool! I was there years ago and when they builded so much new stuff. I really wanna visit again and if you are an international tourist its one if the coolest things to see in germany. Its actually like a little wonder to see it in person and you wont forget it! Maybe go for another video. I recently saw a very long detailed vlog about it :) The Alps in this place should be the best thing they reach over 3 stories and I havent seen them in person yet.

I've been there several times and the miniature Wunderland is expending continuously. It is so fascinating

After they finished said models of Italy and (Southern) France - including Rome, Venice, Lake Como, an erupting Mount Vesuvius, the ruins of Pompeji and Monaco with its famous Formula-1 race - they ran out of space for future projects. That's because there were no other storeys available in the building as they share it with the Hamburg Dungeon - a horror house including a log ride and a 26 ft free fall tower. So they bought a storey in the neighbouring building in the next street and connected it with a walkway across the canal. There they currently install a 2000+ sqft model of South America that was built by a family in Argentina. It includes Rio de Janeiro and landscapes from the Andes, Patagonia, the rainforest and even Antarctica. And they already plan to make a model of Latin America showing Panama and Mexico. I've been there at least four times, first time in 2003 or so and last time two years ago, and it's amazing to see this small world grow. This Sunday I will go there again with my daughter and I'm so looking forward to see all the new stuff. By the way, three weeks in January people who can't afford the entrance fee (up to 20 Euros) can get in for free.

BTW thanks for showing the tamed bee plane, it wouldn't show up when I was there. Remember to bring a lot of time and patience, there is so much to discover!

I've been there 4 or 5 times now. You will discover a new thing every time. All the little details and "eastereggs" everywhere. I also participated in a "behind the scenes" tour where I found even more hidden details you only get to see there. It is great! It is stunning. If you ever visit Hamburg - go there! It is also quite affordable in my eyes: 20€ / 20$ for a ticket with unlimited time to explore (until closing time).

This is a MUST SEE in Germany. It is loved by people of all ages - no matter if you are into miniature trains or not. I saw the new section with Brazil this October - incredible.

I live around 1,5 hours from Hamburg, I visited the Miniaturwunderland around 10 years ago for the last time. They probably have some new attractions since then. It’s split in different rooms on different floors, that’s why you can’t have a photo of everything at all.

I've went there about 20 years ago! It was impressive then, and it seems they have added a ton of new stuff since!

1. There is no full picture of it all becaus it spread into multible rooms. 2. When I was there I took at least 15 naughty pictures and there is much more. 2. It was so detailed it took me 4-5 hours to go thrugh half of it. 4. It´s breathteaking

You should totally come and check it out! You can easily spend a whole day spotting the tiny little Easter eggs and other details - even without kids. The video is quite old so there's even more stuff by now. They recently finished Rio and are currently building Patagonia

I was at the Miniatur Wunderland 2 years ago and will visit it again around Easter. It is truely amazing. There is so much to see. Everywhere is something to discover. Better choose a complete or better 2 days for it. You can even see some easter eggs from well known media (in example Star Wars). btw. The trucks are driving via a magnetic lane below the street (afaik).
