I appreciate your advice. My 1 piece toilet is a Williamsburg. The part fit's Williamburg model too.

I tighten it up and it still leaks past the seal. Is there some grease or lubricant you're supposed to put on the rubber? How tight should it be? Do you need to adjust the centering in the hole? I filled the space with lithium bearing grease. The toilet still runs. Ah ha! The little filler tube was all the way down and siphoning! Seal probably worked all along.

I am in the process of replacing one. The old one appears to have a bead of silicone or some other type of sealant under it.

same issue, new part water leaks past rubber into bowl scrub or clean pathway rubber seat area in bowl, calcium trails? plumbers grease? blue scotchbrite inside rubber gasket area scrub china lube up black gasket with silicone grease or spray?

2092 AS "hamilton" one piece all new parts still leaks past, korky 723X replacement will scrub inner china assembly, and get big flashlight in there to see or feel for defects to see where water is leaking past, use food color maybe but tried many flappers , inner boot seal has leak is plenty tight will diaasemble 1 more time and check for lime buildup trail

I have an American Standard toilet with 2092 stamped in the tank. Is this the flush valve I need? I also need the trip lever assembly for that toilet.

Will this replacement work for one piece with the old brass style flush valve? The old one just has a screw in the center.. the rim where the flapper meets is brass body
