So far, I've known every answer, I am American, intelligent, and well-educated (including self-education after finishing school). Few Americans fit that description, rather more foreigners from advanced societies do fit the description. Americans aren't dumb, they are ignorant, sometimes willfully, sometimes because of the massive failure of the education system.

Michael is too ignorant to realize anyone can state/proclaim anything they want online, doesn't mean it has an ounce of truth. "Few Americans fit that description", this had me laughing more than I care to admit. I'd bet everything I have, HE doesn't fit that description! Will someone tell this clown people who really are educated do not need to proclaim it, why? because people who truly are educated know education/knowledge is not a destination, rather a constant journey always evolving always being added to. I am lucky because I had 60 years of the goof life how by giving back fighting the good fight against injustice for animals the darkest crimes ever committed why I chose this field because it is a double crime for the child and animals we are not factory farming and eating the child but other species we are and these are the darkest crimes ever committed. Child nor animals understand human EVIL So I will end thank you for reading by saying bless the animals and the child for in this world they have no voice they have no choice keep them safe keep them warm. Teach the child well respect all animals and mother nature now while in the 11 hour we can still give it our best if we work together birth control ourselves stop eating other species respect nature and limit corp and maybe pray.

I agree with you but English is actually not that hard when you learn it in school from a young age. I’m learning English in school since seven years now and I’m almost fluent (tho that’s also because of the internet). But I guess it’s not that hard for me because there aren’t as many rules as in German. I’m a 13 year old Swiss kid btw

P.S. It's not about dumbness. It's about lack of decent education, and I'd say mostly lack of motivation to self-educate. There's really no excuse in our current world to not have basic knowledge when information is so widely available. All that being said, these Americans were at least much better educated than the average ones I've met. I have daily contact with Americans and I've never ceased to be amazed at how much they don't know. I mean I know much more about not only the world but even about their country than they do. I honestly really love it when I see the odd American who actually can answer a question accurately.

Never met an American in real life, but from what I've seen on the internet, they are incredibly smart. They just don't care much about the rest of the world most of the time, unless it's something directly concerning their line of work. Knowing useless trivia doesn't make you smart. This definitely sounds like an American in disguise lol. That being said, I think the top 1% of Americans will be “smarter” than the top 1% of any other country because the US undoubtedly has some of the best universities on earth where some of the greatest minds congregate and teach (Harvard, MIT, Caltech, Princeton, etc.) also US allows some of the brightest minds on earth to come over and become US citizens, thus causing braindrain in other regions of the world while simultaneously expanding the 1%. That being said, “smartness” is a hard concept to define. I think what matters more are results, and US is literally the forefront of revolutionary tech, medicine, and research. I’ve always said, the US undoubtedly has some of the smartest ppl on earth, but the bottom 50% are unbelievable dumb (I’m an American I’ve witnessed it lol)
