Amazing. That elbow attack Pelé did in the face of the uruguaian player was a response to another attack from that same player against Pelé, in the 1970 world cup. For us here in Brazil Pelé was the greatest player of all time because he was complete (he kicked with his two feet, he defended well, he dominated the ball amazingly, he dribled very well...) and he scored more than 1000 goals in his carrer for Santos, the brazilian team and NY Cosmos. Greetings from Salvador, Bahia, Brazil.

He created the nasty shit players do today. Nobody done it before him, the skills, the basic foundation you need to learn to play... The right way to do it is based on him. Only 30% of his plays is recorded in video, and it's awesome. He basically scored 97% of the ways to score known today.

The player who scored the most goals in a game is not a good way to measure, because the leagues are not as evenly competitive like the NBA is. That record is held by a striker named Manzizila that scored 21 goals in a game for Swedish 7th division, but it's hard to compare that to Wilt's records because of the level of competition. Pelé once scored 8 goals in game, which is a lot, the most Messi ever scored in a game is 5, for example.

Pelé debuted for the Brazil team at the age of 17 at the 1958 world cup, he was one of his top scorers, scoring two goals in the final. By a draw he ended up with shirt number 10 and there was created the mystic that the best player of each team should wear 10. The height of Pelé's career was in the 60s and in 1970 he played his last tournament for Brazil being the only three-time world cup player to date at the age of 29 retired from the national team and a year later retired from football. In the mid-1970s a group of American businessmen convinced Pelé to abandon his retirement to help popularize football in the United States, so he played two more years for NY Cosmos before leaving football definitively at the age of 34.

Some hidden/old historical gemes: Garrincha (true OG on film) , Romario, Hagi, Van Basten, Roberto Baggio, George Best, to name some greats you might not have heard of, but all had an impact on the game

In nba a 30 point game is like two goals in football but a hattrick is like 60 points a game. Messi once scored 5 goals in the ucl which is basically 80/90 points in a play off game but no big players have ever scored more then 5/6

I agree with the Yellow jersey man, Pele was atheletic like Ronaldo, despite having the stature of Messi and for his time incredible technicaly also, he was best player of the whole last century of football played. You should react to his biggest rival on that claim to best in the century, "diego maradona - top 25 freestyle skills ever" Keep up the good work

this is the quintessential of that legen....wait for it....dary number 10 of football...he revolutionized modern football ... lets not compare, just enjoy...oh btw, Pelé said one player he admired a lot, Garrincha, sadly not many footage of him...and also check out Rivelino , without him (and maybe Jay Jay Okocha too), you wouldve not seen Ronaldinho playing like he did

Pelé é o maior de todos , por que é 3 vezes campeão do mundo , e o jogador que mas tem gols na história do futebol, todos os dribles e lances que os jogadores de hoje usam , o Pelé foi o primeiro a executar esses lances e dribles .

I have the same opinion. For me he was a mixture of Messi and Cristiano, but from the past, in the 60's
