@JJ Zip i think all real canelo fans have respect for amir khan. he beat barrera, a mexican legend, and went into the ring with canelo, possibly one of the best middleweights of all time. anyone who fights canelo deserves respect at the end of the day, especially if they went into the fight like amir khan; actually wanting to win and not just showing up for a paycheck, and at one point he was doing really good and outboxing canelo.

He might talk like he's Dense but he's smart enough to know that as long as there's a hole between his cheeks he'd never of beaten Canelo due to his alergy to Suede Leather. Third and final point... Crawford. He ran off to America for about HALF the money he would of got for facing Brook because he knows he can't beat Brook. He loses to Brook in the UK... he'd never be able to live it down through years of chattin shit! Went to US, knew he was in deeper than he thought he'd be anyway and quit. Canelo was going to be a sure fire loss, and Khan actually boxed brilliantly in that fight. It's just that Canelo happened to catch him. Ran from Brook? Khan never wanted that fight to begin with, Khan never looked for that fight. Brook needed Khan more than Khan needed Brook. Brook got KO'd back to back fights in what were going to be his biggest fights of his career. So stop pretending that Kell is some legendary fighter that was a household name. Not sure what Khan actually having the balls to fight the likes of Crawford and Canelo have to do with Brook? Kell Brook sure as hell wasn't calling out Khan when Khan beat a prime Marcos Maidana was he? No he wasn't. Brook is looking for any last big fight he can get, and I don't blame him. Khan wouldn't been a huge fight in the UK. But Khan didn't need it, simple as that.

Chin or no chin he deserves so much more respect. He fought everyone. Didn’t win them all but didn’t back down either. The beauty of boxing isn’t always about who’s undefeated because that leads to ducking and politics and we have enough of that already.. Khan is easily one of my favorite fighters that I’ve grown up watching.

Respect Khan a lot more than Brook. Brook only finally fought the top guys near the later stages of his career after being a pro for like 8 years. Khan was fighting the likes of Maidana when he was still young.

In 2016 everybody was baying for Brook/Khan (money was never going to be a dealbreaker) and Khan was backed against a wall to fight him, but he knew that losing to Brook would be the end of his career, so he decided to fight Canelo knowing that he didn't have a prayer of beating him, but he would save face because it would "show his balls", he would still be in the boxing limelight even though he would lose, and best for him he would escape Brook and leave him in the wind. I'll say this for the UFC, Boxing needs one governing body that makes the fights everybody wants

I think Khan did a lot for the sport. He had a very unique style that made matchups VERY interesting. Unbetable machines arent what make fights interesting, its guys with fun styles and exciting fights. Great job Mr.Khan, you are a blessing to the sport.

@Bradley Wilson Just because HE didn't listen doesn't mean he doesn't know the fight game and can articulate it...Hell Paulie Malignaggi had pillow hands and was never elite but his boxing mind is on point...Think about it, average players make great coaches aka Pat Riley, Phil Jackson but most stars are terrible because the small details come so naturally they forget to incorporate it into teaching.

Khan is a true warrior, never ducked a fighter and happy to give respect to another fighter when it’s due. It’s a shame he couldn’t get another world title but he will go down as one of Britain’s best fighters. Massively underrated and that’s a shame, because he deserves more recognition and respect for his achievements.

Would have loved to see a rematch with Maidana under Garcia, post Mayweather 2, i will never forget that counter punch he landed on Floyd at the very end of the 3rd round in their rematch... to think that he could barely threw a jab against Khan and improved SO much is unbelivable and really inspiring ! Im not a Khan fan but you got to respect him, he fought absolutely everyone and in his prime as he would have possesed a strong chin, believe me he would have crush most of the fighters he lost to... similar to Algieri who is really beautiful to look at in the ring but lack power... Anyway, Brook only stand à chance against Khan (who has a way bigger name and earned it) because the latter has a glass chin that is it ! Unlike Khan, Brook did not accomplish anything particular, took the beating of his life against Golovkin and got finished by Spence... whereas Khan managed to deliver better quality fights like the Maidana one, a classic for sure

I chatted with Amir before his fight while he was training here around the san francisco bay area. He was such a humble and pleasant guy to chat with. He seemed more interested in what I did for a living than chatting about him as a fighter.

That's true, one thing you can say about Amir Khan is he fought a lot of really good fighters. Devon Alexander, Danny Garcia, Maidana, Canelo, Crawford, Judah etc. He didn't shy away from any fighter and he was so desperate to fight Mayweather. I would have been interested in that fight even though he would have lost. Would have been interesting to see how Mayweather dealt with his speed.

He outboxed Canelo every round, but it always comes down to that glass chin of his. Gifted with good ring IQ and fast hands. Cursed with bad defense and a glass chin.

Yes, to everyone´s eyes, Amir khan was winning the fight, but remember the judges had Amir Khan losing all the rounds, as incredible as it sounds.
