In my opinion the parent who intentionally (or unintentionally) sabotages their childs work life have such intense insecurity that they wabt their child to have indepence. If the child is work successfull, in the parent's mind they don't need that parent anymore. Sad really.
@deinemudda6104
@deinemudda6104 9 ай бұрын
6:13 I do think that there is a different intention behind this...Like they DON´t WANT their children to have a job because that would mean the child becomes independent from her. Like she does that on purpose so that the child doesnt become independent or has a chance to get away.

My dad is a pastor. He is of the mindset that if he messes with you it shows he cares or likes you. Which is it, to a degree. Instead, he single handedly ruined 4 relationships that I honestly believe could have gone to marriage if he had just stayed away from the girl. He'd find out either I or her liked the other and start teasing nonfuckingstop about it and basically treat her like she's already his daughter in law. All 4 had told me at some point in distant future the only reason they didn't want to be with me was because the thought of him being their father in law bothered them greatly. And as someone who is his son by natural means against my will, I don't blame them

About story 7. I went to a job interview for a barista job, told them I tend to be a "the costumer is always right" person (because it was my first job interview ever and I had no idea how to say I'm a people pleaser but I won't take any sh*t from you ") apparently they weren't looking for baristas (even tho that was what was written in the website) but they were looking for cashier/sales person to sell subscriptions to the business (it was a "fancy" car wash with a cafeteria, the only thing fancy about it was the price). They hired me on the spot, started working the next day (it was my first interview ever, I didn't know what red flags even existed), worked there for about a month until they realised "oh yeah, she can't sell a free pizza to a poor college student, and we asked her to sell suspiciously worded subscriptions that are way overpriced" and tried to quietly move me to a different position, but by that time I had enough of their cr*p and told them I refuse the new terms of the other position (they added responsibilities I didn't want to do, like clean stuff) so I guess I was fired. I actually was going to quit that day so it worked great for me. I came out with a lot of really funny stories

Just saying, 90% of jobs that are beginner jobs will make you clean. If that's where you draw the line, with basic cleaning, you probably need to improve your work ethic. That's all I got out of your story, I'm not really sure what the point of it was supposed to be
@amitor6960
@amitor6960 9 ай бұрын
@Darowen the point was that they hired the absolute wrong person for the wrong job. Also, the salesperson and the barista job did not include cleaning and the other position included taking over for the cleaning crew after they go home, there's no way I'm doing this for a teenager's minimum wage. A cleaner's average hourly salary here is like double the minimum wage. Every job I had since did not include cleaning at all. In that specific situation I was asked to clean up some kid's puke, so I don't think refusing this, especially when it's not in my contact, is bad work ethics

I don't get some stories here, why would you lose respect for a person, whose mother is just a bit coocoo. It just sounds incredibly superficial, and these kids put up with it their whole life having to spend time with said mother, it'd actually be super normal to be unlike her because of that. Like I'd not lose respect for thee person, or say, actively avoid a friend I LITERALLY WANTED TO KNOW just because the mother is a bitch. Like who gives a shit his mom is a villain just be friends or date out of her presence. Idk if it's just being determined, being thoughtful or having empathy, but I wouldn't just throw a person out of my life for something that stupid. I shouldn't watch these videos I always just get upset with people/society/the world

People may validly worry that the child has been so influenced by the parents behavior, that they also have issues. It's pretty common for a parents negative behaviors and traits to be aped by their children.

Not my story. A friend’s mother would make her pay board, a percentage of any household bills but then she wasn’t allowed to eat any of the food her mother bought and could only use the light in her room for 2 - 3 hours at night. Could only use battery run items for anything else. Neither of her brothers had to pay a cent. She couldn’t keep any food she bought for herself in the fridge or kitchen because her mother then considered it as her food because it was her kitchen. One day the manager at the bank she worked at called her into his office to berate her over the way she treated her mother who had called him to tell him that her daughter would not give her any money even though she was so poor, so he allowed the mother to withdraw most of my friend’s savings. Told her to go to the police because that was not legal.

Yeah this didn't happen, no bank manager us giving out someone else's money unless the mom was on the account. Your friend is hard-core bsing you on that part, at the very least.
