My brother tried hiding the fact that he has epilepsy from the army because he hadn't had a seizure in years. Basic training will make that issue show up again in a hurry.

I knew a marine who developed epilepsy from a head injury. They discharged him. He was crushed.

My mom's last 2 trips internationally people did not that their medicine for that and an hour into the flight started seizing. The first trip pilot refused to land. Second pilot returned and the flight was 2 hours late. My mom is still salty about spending 10 hours of an 18 hour flight checking this guy out and making sure he had enough oxygen

I have Degenerate Spinal Disease, scoliosis in my lower back, L5 defect, used to have pretty bad asthma, and had split my head when I was about 1 needing stitches. I also had to have tubes in my ears. If a doctor asks me what my medical history I will will most likely just tell them nothing major that I can think of.

I know the medical history one. It seems like so many people struggle to tell everything. I keep a document on my phone with all hospitalizations, surgeries, conditions, medications, family history, etc. When I have to see a new doctor or update anything, I just hand them my phone with everything.

I had a nurse friend who had been on the job for over 30 years. She knew just about everything someone could shove up there..... Til one day someone came in screaming their pet cat was up their butt and they had stopped scratching inside him. She said she stood up and just stared at him. This was in a small town hospital and no one knew what to do except stare cause of how bizarre

Something like story #6 happened with my uncle. One of my aunties noticed him changing his socks cause he never did it infront of anyone and his skin was coming off on the sock. They brought him to the hospital and he had gangrene so bad they said they’d have to amputate both legs. He had 2 (possibly more can’t remember) heart attacks that day and passed

I went to the ER in my early 20s for abdominal pain. They asked me about my health and I said “I’m pretty healthy” they then looked at my intake sheet and after seeing the conditions and meds I listed, had to explain to me that being “healthy” didn’t mean “not having a cold or something” rip
