I'm still wondering why my mom and pop LGS' are still trying to get $1 a round for 5.56, $20 a box for off brand 9mm and $2 a round for 308.

Been wondering the same and when i ask why they don't partner with companies like psa (aac) to become a distributor for their ammo / firearms they shrug it off like it's sub par.. news flash for them people will buy a lot more if you offer them an affordable quality product..

All the shelves are fully stocked at my local sports stores. I think everyone is fatigued from all the ammo panics that’s been ongoing since 2008. Groceries, bills and gas are also going up in price.

I do the exact opposite. If I can't walk out with it then I ain't going to buy it. Every single time I ordered online I have had nothing but issues and they always short you. I got a local place I buy and they got the best prices anywhere.

It’s a good time to start grabbing some primers because when powder does come back at some point they are gonna be gone again. The question is will primers eventually get lower due to the lack of powder.

Starting July 1 here in california firearms and ammo tax is going to add 11% sales tax on top of the 9% we already pay. California sucks if you're a gun owner

Eagle armory in Overland Park had decent prices for ammo compared to the big box stores. Bulk 556 was 50 cents a round, and they got military discount. Going to support the locals if i can

Gunpowder, more specifically the munitions grade nitrocellulose shortage, is going to be the alkies heel moving forward. Powder for reloading has more than doubled in the last couple months.

This is very upsettkng, as a disabled vet i live on a fixed income. Ive given up several hobbies over the last few years. Now i may have no choice but to give up my last and favorite hobby. Ammo is just out there in left field. I refuse to contribute to the massive corporate greed. I will not and cant afford to pay 50 to 60 bucks for powder or 100 bucks for primers. Most of my rifles now sit idle in the safe to conserve what few components i have. If prices dont drop quite a bit when there gone i guess i will sit at home and stare at the wall.

Academy has the monarch 9mm 115 grain on sale for 49.99 for Father’s Day. That’s 20 cents per rd before tax. I bought a couple thousand already. I may buy more before the sale is over!

There a plenty of reasons. One might be that you’re on the way to the range and forgot your ammo or need some more. Online shopping is definitely better providing you can capitalize on free shipping otherwise it’s marginal at best.

Ouch! I haven’t bought a box of core lock since the very early 90’s..at $8.99 a box. Glad I started reloading…ouch! If you swing over to Walmart, you’ll save $10 bucks a box on those federal 22s.

Today, 6/15/24, I just got home from my local Academy and purchased 500 round box of Winchester 9mm 115gr for $145. Also bought 2 - 25 round boxes of Hornady XTP American Gunner 115gr HP for $23 ea.

Checkout velocity ammunition but please keep the volume down to the 2A community. 500 rounds of Win HP for 199$ and 450 for 100 +p+ 124 gr jhp federal Hydra/Hishoks HPs are much cheaper than 1$ each online

Shortages don't mean that you can't get it, but what's available becomes more expensive. I Anyway, there are different reasons for people to shop local, box stores, or Internet, nothing is 100%, maybe a combination. I don't really have much local, and no box stores. I expect that Democrats will restrict lead, if they get a chance, an excuse to restrict ammunition. The environmental whackos have a lot of objectives.

I prefer price per round comparisons. It is easier to compare prices, especially when buying in bulk.

First, punctuation is a key component in effective communication. I highly suggest you look into how it works. Second, pricing per round is absolutely the best way to quickly and effectively compare different values across SKUs.
