Shit is getting worse than the Knights AR Snobs. Makes me sick to think I might get thrown in there with a bunch of assholes just because I have a couple SR15's or some "trash" ass Communist AK's. I'm coming off like a asshole because that is EXACTLY what 80% of the comments sound like. PSA will never improve their QC seeing as how people gobbled up these 1100 dollar, nitride barrel, brass-case-only "krinks". seriously, if you want a 5.56 "krink", just get the Zastava ZPAP85. Better barrel, better QC, better quality. Easily found for cheaper. No hype videos on KZfaq though, so maybe that's a dealbreaker for the typical PSA enjoyer.

@@mrdato116 PSA only dominates people who can't afford anything else. Also idk why you're bringing up HK rifles and subguns when we're talking about AKs lol i think you're confused. I also also don't understand bringing up Battlefield Las Vegas when they have cheap WASRs that have outlasted PSA by tens of thousands of rounds. Keyholing at 17,000 rounds is to be expected... they use cheap barrels. At least they have FN barrels in some PSA AKs, but at that point the price is a little too high to justify getting it over an imported rifle that is made to soviet spec.

While I fully understand the reason that PSA came out with this chambering first. In this day and age it just makes economic sense. While not exactly a purist, i am a big enough fan of the 5.45 cartridge that I will wait for that chambering to come out. Hopefully by that point there is enough manufacturing experience built up that the QA/QC issues have fallen by the wayside. On the accuracy. I would love to see how it groups at distances with a varieyt of ammunition and with both Irons and optics. My standard with my PCCS and short barreled "Rifles" is if can consistently put hit on a man sized torso target at 100 m/Yds. It I want to print smaller groups than that at that distance I will use one of my full sized rifles or DMRs. My main question about this weapon is what is it's reliability using other 5.56 magazines or are we restricted to just using the PSA mags. Neither one is a deal breaker just be nice to know when I start budgeting for it.

If someone has a good experience with PSA , & DAMNIT!!! DONT ACT LIKE PEOPLE DON'T HAVE GOOD EXPERIENCES WITH PSA!!! they are called a "Poor" or "Nut Huggers" and to call someone a poor when they spent $1,000 on a friggin AK when I can remember you had to dig through trash ass guns back in the day to get to the AK's! Friggin Commie AK's fot $149!!!! Now they are $3,500 your some kind of friggin High Roller??? And don't act like that was forever ago, Im only 47 and remember $149 AK's at Roses. Also the people who get a good AK from PSA don't act like you have a custom Jim Fuller built AK, oh no yall can be some assholes as well. Just be thankful you have a $1,000 AK (I swear I can't believe Im calling a gun that cost a Grand affordable) it would behoove ALL OF US to not get into it with a bunch of ASSHOLES!!!! because we have now become a ASSHOLE TOO!!!! @@offdeadeye88 no...castings and forgings are completely different. Casting parts is a manufacturing process in which a liquid material is usually poured into a mold, which contains a hollow cavity of the desired shape, and then allowed to solidify. While the part may be heat treated for strength, it will have inconsistencies due to air pockets or imperfections due to the pour. Forged parts are metal components that are heated, beaten into the desired shape, cooled and finally heat treated. This is why forged components are stronger because it is less likely to have air bubbles or inconsistency in the part since it has been beaten into shape instead of poured.

I like PSA but I learned my (expensive) lesson when I bought an AK74 from them and it had to be sent back twice - now I just don't trust it at all. I have several other of their products that were good, but wait until the second or third gen to put your money into one.

They’re the 24 hour diner of firearm manufacturers. A huge menu and everything on it is mediocre. If they focused on a couple products and ironed out the reliability issues then they’d attract more customers. They want to be the go to, low cost firearms manufacturer but instead they’re making guns for people that can afford to buy a bunch of guns that might not work that well and already have reliable weapons made by other manufacturers.

I really don't understand shooting 5.56 from the AK platform. I'd rather wait for the 5.45 version. I understand that PSA has issues with QC and hope they are working to improve. Still think they do many positive things for the 2A community that many of their detractors don't seem to want to give them credit for. Great video, I subscribed!

As an early 545 adopter, unless you're stocked up, it's the wrong time to get into 545. For a kink I'd bypass 556 and go for 7.62x39. Best power for a short barrel. Short range gun/ammo.👍

This isn’t a JAKL. PSA has a very serious issue with QA/QC that I call out. However, not everyone is created equally and there are financially challenged people that need an option. PSA is definitely a starting point. I don’t know Focus Tripp and have no opinion of him good or bad. What I can say is that Focus Tripp was sent a product from PSA and took a giant shit on it. That is a technique and PSA responded in kind. His JAKL no doubt had issues and definitely needed to be discussed. But, using tact to discuss the short comings is far important. I have pointed out issues with the Krink and the JAKL and wasn’t a dick about it while trying to dunk on Garand Thumb. He complains about accuracy but never shows its accuracy…that is a bit of intellectual dishonesty. Sure, it’s fun and easy to dunk on PSA. But, holding them accountable is far more important to push for them to improve. We should want ALL gun companies to succeed…yes, even you Springfield and Century. Producing edgy content definitely gets clicks but ask yourself how has he helped to improving PSA?
@Soli_Deo_Gloria_.
@Soli_Deo_Gloria_. Ай бұрын
_Ask yourself how has he helped PSA ?_ Well that question carries the weight and presupposition that PSA wants help to improve quality and quality control... ... I think they have chosen a business model that they are very content with and that honestly has made their business flourish..... instead of honing in on a model and platform to make better via parts and QC they introduce three more models and platforms each year, and are very content with mediocrity and absolutely garbage QC... ... all the while trusting the vast majority of folks aren't operators and only go to the range twice a year and sling maybe a hundred rounds in that year; hoping they will never discover problems... and perhaps never try to attach an optic... lol (this alone demonstrates their QC is beyond the pale) So regarding Focus Tripp's methodology of addressing PSA... perhaps he understands this about PSA and knows being nice was nothing more than pandering to a company to maintain free stuff (at the cost of integrity).... where the executives laugh in the board room at such futile endeavors... I understand you sentiments about people are strapped because I myself am one of those people... but if someone asks about options for _The Poors_ my recommendation is instead of dropping $630 on a blem GF3 spend a few dollars more and get a WASR... or save 4 or 5 more bills and get a ZPAP M70... But the WASR is hands down the best dollar for dollar budget buy. That's my opinion... 🤷‍♂️ Thanks for sharing your thoughts, hope that's reciprocal... God bless brother

@@Soli_Deo_Gloria_. I hear what you’re saying but you’re assuming they won’t improve which is unsustainable. Look at companies like IO who had subpar products and were shut down because they would not improve. I have spoke directly with individuals at PSA and feel that they do want to improve, which is why we should give them the benefit of the doubt. PSA is not an anomaly, rather they are like so many other companies like Springfield and Taurus. Plagued with missteps and issues yet seemingly on a redemption arch. Why? Because they did not want to get memed out of existence.

A draco is $700. You can customize it with the money you saved over buying the krink. It has quality internals. That brace is plastic right? A bonesteel or cnc warrior is a quality metal folding brace. 5.56 is bad at that barrel length (I know they plan on other calibers). This is a very poor value.

@@FitnFire Probably between the individuals that bought PSA AK's and those that have not. My AKP pops primers and my AKV sprays shrapnel out the muzzle brake ports. The AKV also has a built-in bonus "feature" that at random times will send between two and four rounds down range. That usually gets heads peering out from behind the separations at the shooting range. You shrug, say "PSA" and usually get a nod back.

PSA says to not use any other mag but theirs… so it’s a little unfair to add that in as a malfunction. I haven’t had any issue with mine. (820) also I don’t understand the comment about brass and steel cases. I get that AK are made to take em but who cares… not a huge selection of steel 556 out there compare to brass bc steel isn’t good for AR’s. Y’all don’t forget it’s not a “battle” gun. It wasn’t really one when they came out with it or when some random towel head carried one and the Russians adopted it for their helicopter pilots which probably barely knew how to rock the mag in… lol

Every other AK can run mags besides their own manufactured ones. The Zastava M90 will run AK-74 mags with a Pod Arms follower. So, it SHOULD held to account. AC Unity mags are inexpensive and reliable but I can’t use them because PSA says so…that’s no bueno.

@@spencerorlando8074 that is still an issue that needs to be discussed. Every AK video you’ll find, people want to know mag compatibility.
