Glad to see u running ak competition and turning into a full fledged ak guy. Welcome to the club. I'll be there 2025 and kalshbash. Havnt been to either due to work not falling out in line with the matches. But got a new job that is more lenient now. So looking forward to trying them both out.

For so many years they have been trying to create a stationary optic for handguns. Now they have one that reciprocates with the slide, and enhances you're viewpoint by coming closer to you're eye. Now that's synergy in mechanical functionality! Pretty cool that the un-wanted side a/effect of being shaked around, actually increases use performance.

@@FitnFire We're up in Lander. The weather has gotten really nice in the last few weeks. Was about 70 yesterday. I think Wyoming would be a great summer location for any shooting match. As long as people could get here. Lol

You killed that competition man. Imo the best optic for an AK is the primary arms 2x glx. The eye relief is so good and the minimal magnication makes both eye open shooting easy. Good up close and out to distance. Jack of all trades.

Thanks!!! I’ll have to look into that 2x. What I CAN tell you is the magnified division is STACKED at Kalashni-Con! That may be a reason I would look at a good LPVO setup

Atmospherics and temp and altitude play a hugh role in distance if you don’t load your own rounds you have no control over consistency good job wish I was twenty years younger mowing what I know now 😊

You may have made some mistakes and had some issues along the way, but it looks like you did pretty good overall. Even that first stage, you did really well with the pistol portion at the end. I'm betting plenty of people had issues hitting those targets with their pistol. Edit: What a great competition. Those stages all look really interesting, challenging and creative. Beautiful range too. That spastic Texas Star at the end was something else. Cool idea.

I use the AAC 77gn OTM’s in my 1/7 twist ar’s and it is my go to, although my Beryl will NOT run it reliably at all. I think the overall length of that loading with the 77gn projectile is just too long to be reliably fed in 5.56 ak’s. I was getting round deformations that never made it into the chamber. Some Hornady 55gn superformance would probably be perfect in the M90.

That is correct. Doing that with a stiff safety lever one-handed was challenging to say the least.
