@@ImpostorModanica It's based on Laney amps used by Sabbath and HIWATT amps used by David Gilmore in Pink floyd. He said its not as high gain as a plexi. Its based on real 70s amps and cabs. He also says the nature of the amp is that its a fuzzy low end so no tight palm mutes. so, NOT aimed at metal players.

I downloaded the demo, not really expecting to buy another amp sim but the price was right to try. After a few minutes, I stumbled onto Diamonds with my humbuckers. Instant love! I'm now a proud owner of yet another sim. Great job. As a suggestion for a future sim, Michael Bloomfield's tone on the Super Session studio album. In all the years, I've never been able to get that sweet, trebly sound, with either an Amp or Sims, even though it seems it came from only a Super Reverb, a LP '57, and of course, his fingers.

When I activate a live input to record, the cpu usage seems to increase my a magnitude of 7x or something. 2 of my cores are hitting 75% usage from about 5-10% when just playing back. My Kuassa amps increase by about 2x. is this something you can address, please?

Amazing release, instant buy before I even tried it out, like with most of your plugins. A really good sabbath tone isnt that easy to get out of sims, so much so that I was looking at getting a sabracadabra pedal which cost like 250 bucks I think so you just saved me a lot of money with this and I prefer going the digital route anyway. I would have had to bring that over to my lead guitarist place and play it out of his SLO or something cuz I do not have a great physical amp.

Suggestions for future vintage and rare British amps as sims, Vampower, Selmer, Watkins /Wem, Sound city Mk 1 - 3 (very much like a highwatt but its own thing) would be great to see these. And also the vintage cabs loaded with Fanes. A decent IR of the super famous Fane creshendo loaded Wem cabs used by gilmour in the 70s and Sound City cabs with Fane 122190s PLEAAASE!

Funny story behind all this.. is that I've actually had a Sound City over and a matching 4x12 for it. That amp however is so weird. The EQ section seemed almost active where you'd get scoops in your sound that move around based on how high you set your treble etc. Very strange amplifier that even on extreme settings was quite dark sounding. Never say never but not all vintage amps are as usable and awesome as these that we have here. I've had my eye on a Selmer and WEM for quite some time too so who knows.

@@mlsoundlab Which model of Sound City is that? im guessing its mark 4 120 watt? those are the post Dave Reeves (hiwatt fame) designed ones. They were acthualy know as sounds shitty in the later 70s because they tried a whole load of strange ideas with teh circuits an dthe mk4s were known for blowing up power sections and transformers. THe Mk 1 -3 is the one you want. They are basically very similar to the DR103 but without the master volume. (theres a whole story behind that re Dave Reeves, hilight, hiwatt anda court case! ) .If you can get your hands on one deffo do a Vampower mk 1 100 watt. They are the rarest of the rare as the company only lasted 3 years from 69 to 72. They were made famous by Marc Bolan of T Rex who used them on Ride White Swan and may of his early hits and tours. No one knows what happened to marcs ones as his flat got robbed the day he died and all his gear , guitars etc . But it must be out there somewhere!

I like that this has two very different amps, and you don't really see as many Laney or Hiwatt sims out there. This dev's take on the Laney sounds nice and grody, very "anti-society", lol. SOLD. Doing something like this is a good idea. I prefer the rougher sound of driven old-school 60s/70s amps. It's a rawer, more "dangerous" sound than modern high gain amps, which sound good, there's no hate here, lol, but they sound a little too "smooth" or something for a lot of things.

There are some other nuances in our presets - cabinet choice, mic position, as well as the states and controls of each of the pedals. Really they're there as a jumping off point though, most people will be able to just get stuck in and ignore the presets entirely. -Kai
