Thank you. One last question, if doing a flush is not a good idea, then some of the Life Guard fluid stays in the torque converter, mixed with the Amsoil Signature ATF, is that okay ? Just making sure. I'm going to have a shop do the Job. I know there are some procedures, and tempatures readings to go throw, shifting etc. Needs to be lifted. I just don't have the lift, or tools. Main thing. I want to make sure that mixing fluids is okay, how about if I wait a week and do it a second time. That way perhaps 99 percent is Amsoil. Also I don't see viscosity rating for ZF 8HP
@repairvehicle Жыл бұрын
Hi Eric, Doing a flush does not remove all the fluid from torque converter, this video has explanation if interested. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pdhpqJt1tprKhok.html Mixing life guard with Amsoil is perfectly fine, just make sure you use correct fluid. What do you have and year? You can do second one in a week or a month, I have done it myself many times like this. Transmission manufacturers don’t specify viscosity for transmission fluid.

Hello Vladislav, I did 4 drain and 4 fill. I have video on my channel how I did. No flush, flush causes transmission damage.

Hi, can i change to amsoil without flushing all the fluid?
@repairvehicle3 ай бұрын
All the fluid cannot be flashed, it’s not possible unless transmission is taken apart. Answer to your question is yes, I been doing it for many years.

@@repairvehicle i have been using the original toyota fluid in my suv, been thinking to upgrade to 100% synthetic with amsoil but afraid they don’t mix well since toyota is at best semi synthetic.

@jordyangkawidjaja745 if they don’t mix well then I would have had issues with my Toyota suv and Lexus. But, only quality fluid like amsoil mixes well with oem atf and gives better mpg and shifting

Repairvehicle nothing mechanically connects your shifter to the transmission it’s all electrically connected.

It's not electrically, it's mechanical connection
