That is actually what a train totally consisting of nothing but locomotives is called, a "Power Move", but I've only seen one once, and that was a small one with 8 locos, and they were all Union Pacifics...

In the power move animation, all of the locos are powered up. If this were a real situation, only two or three would be powered up, and the rest would be being towed "dead in train" or in other words would not be powered up.

One problem. Amtrak no longer has F40PHs. They have been turned into non powered control units. You have some in the video, but they have exhaust. lol
