Amtrak Railfanning: AEM-7 Farewell Excursion Train 6-18-16

The date is June 18th, 2016. Amtrak has put together a special excursion to say goodbye to these amazing machines. We catch this train under the Symbol 942 in 3 different locations... we also have some more action other than the special!

Great! Also enjoyed the SEPTA-chased them myself. Debated on going to Perryville but got a bit tired for the drive out. I'm there often enough anyway! -Gus

great video, it was a perfect day for railfanning! I was at Claymont that day as well. in fact thats me in the blue shirt in the thumbnail with my brother to the right of me lol Again excellent video! Im gonna miss those toasters, my favorite electric loco by far. Have a good one!

+RailheadRailfan Productions Ah okay, I remember the conrail shirt (gotta love the Conny blue). I was surprised with how many people were there! The gentlemen I was talking to drove down with family/friends from Upper Massachusetts

AEM-7's won't be fully gone till 2018. Since septa still uses em. But obviously the Amtrak ones are the ones I mostly love. And the only thing I have to say about them is.... Goodbye Old Friend.....
