Amy Grant is the best of the best. She's always been honest, caring, and shown the reflection of God's love for us. She's smart, beautiful, an amazing story teller, and she's reached millions of hearts and led them to God. I know that she's made a huge impact in my life and I love her dearly. Shame on those who judge her faith.

Isn't it ironic and amazing that those who judged her, those who threw stones at her the most .. and let's call out NAMES.. Jimmy Swaggart, Jerry Fawell... have fallen so low, were involved in WORSE scandals and have been a sign of derision and sneering while Amy just kept going, kept learning and making music and pushed more for tolerance, understanding and although I am not a xian, living with Loving kindness (or mercy, whatever you want to call it) , faith and love. I loved her mid-career work: Lead Me On, Heart in Motion (which was my soundtrack when I lived in Israel in 90/91), House of Love, Behind the Eyes etc. And this was when she was most vilified. She is an inspiration to just stay the course, stay in your lane and let the nay-sayers come and go.. and they WILL come and yet GO! :)

Amy has never shied away from radically taking the Gospel of Christ to the world all while stretching our narrow confinements of what it means to rejoice in the Lord. At times in doing so, she faced unwarranted judgement and may not have always felt fearless but she was certainly faithful. She has almost single handedly changed the face and the rhythm of inspirational music but more importantly with her sweet voice and songs of love she has changed hearts and ministered to countless souls. She is a blessing beyond measure and may she too be blessed all her days until she hears the words of her Heavenly Father say, "Well done good and faithful servant".

Amy has always just been herself and I think she personifies the phrase "Preach the Gospel at all times. Use words if necessary". Go out into the world and show love for one another. Be kind to one another. Do unto others as you'd have them do unto you. Even if you are not a Christian or a person of faith, just be kind to one another!

YES!! Unlike the pastors who threw stones at her, she lives her xianity and suffered because of it. If only to show the hypocrites how living quietly, consistently and at times so broken and hurt by other xians' brutality what faith, hope and love really are. Anyone can preach it.. it takes conviction, patience, humility and GUTS to LIVE it. .

You are always going to see failure if you look at man. It is never about what we have done but about what He has done. No one is ever going to be perfect, there is no good in us apart from Jesus. I wish the whole world could finally understand that. One thing that breaks my heart when you ask the average person on the street if they are going to Heaven is you usually get some version of I have done more good things than bad so I think I will be let in. It is ALL about the finished work of JESUS CHRIST!. I kept hoping she would say something about the Grace of our Lord Jesus. I am in no position to judge her, mind you, but this was a perfect opportunity to highlight that Grace. I still love her and love her music, I just wish more people would stand up for the Lord boldly when they have an audience to witness to.

I remember in the 80s when she took her leopard jacket off in the "Find a way" video she was seen as "stripping" by Jimmy Swaggart and other ministers who also called her a "harlot" because she dared to wear a red dress in the same video!! Meanwhile in Charolette NC a certain pastor was trying to get it on with his secretary...

remember God use great men and women in Jesus Days sinner, failure and doubtful one the best example is David is a liar, a murderd, a manics selffishness but God use all that failure to turn back again to his presence, even though God love much David but God didnt exemption to his punishment not him but the son and his generation punish because of his sin. but God always provide a love, care that a Good Thing to God he nevet abondon his promises to David like is today we commit sin everyday but God still make promise to us

But Amy God said that He is preparing a "delusion" for those who do not love His truth. I encourage you to seek God's truth. Several times in Deuteronomy it is written: "Do what is right in the sight of the Lord, not what seems right in your own eyes." God is the potter and we are the clay. He is making us into something beautiful in His eyes. God does not tolerate sin; but is patient with sinners giving us time to repent and be changed. If you read the letters to the 7 assemblies in Revelation you will note that He said: "To he who overcomes..." We must "overcome this world" (1 John 5:4) and "be born of God" - "born again". I believe your sincerity is true. I believe you are a very loving person. However, remember what John said in 2 John and 3 John: "Love in Truth". Love without Truth is incomplete and God will not find your deeds complete in His sight. Jesus Christ was not crucified because of his love, but because He spoke the truth and the truth offends people. "Blessed are those who are not offended by Me." Whether you wore leather pants or shoes or not, was NO issue and those criticisms were ridiculous. But, TRUTH is who Jesus Christ is. Petra did a song called "Judas' Kiss" a firm reminder that we must understand the seriousness of sin: "It must be like another thorn stuck in Your brow. It must be like another close friend's broken vow. It just like another nail right through Your wrist. It must be just like, just like Judas' kiss." When Jesus came to the woman caught in adultery, He said, "Now sin no more." He was gentle, but did not say, "I love you just the way your are, don't worry about it, I overlook it." He forgave her, but also instructed her to "sin no more." "Speak the truth in Love" God is Love and God is Righteous. His judgment is coming on those He deems unrighteous. So, we MUST speak the whole truth so they are given the chance to accept deliverance from their sin. Otherwise, we are escorting people into hell: "Right this way. Here, let me help you in ..." That's not love, Amy. Even if we lovingly escort people into hell, we are still doing the unthinkable. I ask you to consider this. You have an opportunity to get it right; and maybe help others INTO heaven. God bless.

Go take your meds, dude. As if Amy's gonna read your drivel. Why I did is beyond me. Your kind is the bane of xianity and of humanity. And if you're gonna quote Devarim (Deuteronomy) quote the ones about a false prophet, how the Torah is forever, how you're not to mix meat and dairy, not wear a garment with two different fibers, etc.. how ironic you only quote the scriptures you want to use a weapon. And G-d spoke in the same book about those that do THIS to lead others to idolatry and perversion. The same G-d you quote against someone is speaking against YOU. Your god is NOT my G-d.

Amy confuses me at times as someone who professes to have "faith" as she puts it. The reason Amy did the crossover when she was younger was due to monetary purposes. She was already very popular in the Christian music world, so why not make mainstream music to get more popularity and gain? But aside from all that, she does make great music. It does appear that she wants to please everyone, and now even supporting gay marriage! Jesus said to judge righteously and the new testament also says, you will know them by their fruit. Divorce and remarriage is a sin, once again, as a Christian who believes in the Bible, it is wrong. Yes, God is a forgiving God but He is also a God who is not politically correct. He is also a God of absolutes.
