Amazing! Are you planning to make the parts open source?

Looks amazing would be also interested in the printing files!

Oh, I would be glad to get my hands on the current state of your development - even the fusion CAD file itself would be super neat! As your design seems to be running so silky smooth and way stiffer than all the servo-designs, it can be repurposed for so many wonderful uses :)

The weight on the moving parts could be reduced by fixing the lower motor to the static base instead. Thanks for sharing...without the sources though I'm going to have to spend another afternoon replicating it.

I put the motors on the upper stage so the entire unit can be easily lifted off the central shaft and moved to a tripod. Cables and all.

what type of screws you use on this model

Great looking model. I've found Fusion to be a really good package so far, but I'm still a bit on the fence about how to properly model components then assemble them after coming from ProE. The process just seems a bit different.

Yeah, some of the Fusion features are still a bit rough around the edges when compared to other packages. Still, I kinda like that it is not yet overburdened by dozens of features that you barely need once once every two years.

Ha, well considering how long it took me to learn certain features on ProE, like a helical sweep (then trying to figure it out for new versions), it's quite a pleasant experience. That being said, I get the feeling I've been trained to think in one way CAD-wise, and Fusion is meant to be used another way if that makes any sense.
